September 8, 201212 yr Looks like no one else have confirmed the same as me! I don't think I have ever confirmed this late ever :o
September 9, 201212 yr My entro got veto'd. It was in nobody's personal chart and Neon Hitch had no buzz regarding her. I have work in 1hour and have to find a new song within that hour, never mind get ready etc. BRILLIANT MODS. Edited September 9, 201212 yr by LeeWallaceee
September 9, 201212 yr Author semi-finals will now be up tomorrow night due to the modding process overlapping a tad, so 7pm tomorrow night! anyone who has been last minute veto'd or is veto'd past the deadline (aka from just there / just now onwards) has extra time to submit another entry. say midnight? Oh Midnight, FANTASTIC. I guess I'll leave work early just to find a track, god the orginisation from the MODS is AWFUL. Tbh, I would appreciate a reason! I've seen more hype on Pixie Lott - I love your smile, WHICH GOT SWEET F*CK ALL. Edited September 9, 201212 yr by LeeWallaceee

September 9, 201212 yr Neon Hitch got vetoed? WOW It will be REALLY interesting to see the full list.
September 9, 201212 yr Oh dear. :manson: I think the whole thing is in dire need of reform. I think you are being really unfair here Jark. No two opinions on veto worthy songs are completely the same and the mods put a huge amount of work into deciding vetos that are not just done a whim and do agree them between themselves. A general consensus is made and it is as fair as it can be. What you may consider to be a fair veto may go against what others may think which is why there are 4 mods to voice opinions.
September 9, 201212 yr No two opinions on veto worthy songs are completely the same I'm glad you said that because you've just pointed out the precise flaw in the system! People don't know what they can and can't send because there guidelines are blurred or vague and there's no way anything can be challenged. Sorry but this contest is supposed to be fun. It kind of stops being that when you have to go through an endless cycle of finding new songs because you had a great entry which was vetoed for tenuous reasons. It's one thing to say "this song has appeared in more than 5 personal charts this month, you can't have it" but "this song seems to building buzz online?" (paraphrased from what was said about Jess Mills)? Really?
September 9, 201212 yr I'm aware who Neon Hitch is, I remember she had a thread in the pop forum that was fairly big, I don't know if that's still there, but I think based on the artist, that seems fair enough. I know she didn't have any commercial success (apart from being with Gym Class Heroes) but surely hype is just building with her? In case I sound like a suck up, I don't approve of all the mod's choices (Icona Pop & Charli XCX come to mind) but I really don't think they've done much wrong this time round, there's obviously a clear effort made to class which entry is veto-worthy. (I'm saying this and my entry could well be vetoed later :P ) Edited September 9, 201212 yr by C.W

September 9, 201212 yr phew sent just in time cheers for the reminder lew, was in the garden catchin them rays o facebook watch me not even get it though SOB
September 9, 201212 yr She didn't even feature on the most recent Multichart... She didn't miss out by much and the multichart uses outdated info anyway, being published a day before the usual flood of new charts. Jess is in around 10 charts currently. Edited September 9, 201212 yr by Umi
September 9, 201212 yr That's the thing with personal charts, the only reason I was even charting Jess was because of the contest - John had sent it over as a potential and I liked it and charted it as a result. Oh well.
September 9, 201212 yr I did think For My Sins was a baffling choice of veto but being in about 10 charts as Umi says it can hardly be let through. I will give you Neon Hitch though, without moaning and complainging about the whole system because it's fine but I really can't see why that needed veto'ing...
September 9, 201212 yr That's the thing with personal charts, the only reason I was even charting Jess was because of the contest - John had sent it over as a potential and I liked it and charted it as a result. Oh well. Also true. I know I've charted a whole bunch of potential entries by people who have asked me to listen to them. The more people you show your song to, the bigger the risk you're taking with it being prominent on personal charts.
