 11. Tulisa - Live It Up

Enjoy! It won't be long until David Guetta pushes it back down :P SW is at 15 now.

Glad Of Monsters and Men has been made 59pm, it's probably too late to go Top 10, but will hopefully get a few more weeks Top 20 :)

I think Amelia will be officially number 1 on sunday. P!nk's last week's situation was completely different.

She got to the top spot quickly. So, Ne-Yo & Script started to gain on her. At this point, P!nk was already number 3 on iTunes.

Amelia's lead at this point is still 0.15 and there's no real evidence that she will start trailing off as Lee is always suggesting in this thread.

I'd like to believe you as YBMJ is such a good song (and Amelia is fab  ) but I think their situations are similar, because they both released 2-track singles. That means that single bundle purchases will go into the main singles chart, rather than the albums chart. That means that there's no extra trickle of sales from people buying the EP to keep it afloat. The minute she's off #1 she's off #1 if you know what I mean.

Such a great staying power for Taylor... such an anthem! top 6 and 4 new songs above her.
LOL at the comment about Capital.

The thing is, radio and now TV stations are being VERY restrictive lately. If you're an unknown artist...you're not gonna get played! Unless you've an online campaign. I noticed whilst away at my Mums...Starz and Channel AKA have gone from showcasing new and unknown singers to top 40 only! It seems the record companies have the final say nowadays.

However....LOL @ Tulisa - it would have been an embarassement if she got to #1. Amelia Lily is a shocker, the song isn't that great but it is deserved.

It's only really in the last couple of years it got really bad aswell. I remember when I was in senior school I used to hear stuff like The Darkness and My Chemical Romance on Galaxy FM. I just couldn't imagine that now.

There are some radio stations which are good though. I think Choice FM (also owned by Global), is pretty good. I hear lots of songs that don't even touch the iTunes top 1000 on there, and they play album tracks too, not just the singles.

Rinse FM is really good too. It's quite easy (in comparison) to get played on that station if you're not signed to a big record label.

Cherry Wine is great, hope radio 1 playlist it this week, Nick Grimshaws played it alot on his future pop show on radio 1!

Yes!! I love that song. It's so magical. It went top 100 on iTunes too. Although the song where Nas talked about Camden was Like Smoke I think.

Nas's album as a whole is very good. I wouldn't expect Radio 1 to playlist it, but he did perform at Hackney I think, and they playlisted The Don, so you never know!

 05. Little Mix 'Wings'

'I Cry' debuted at number three in Australia this week, for anyone that's interested. Seems it's just become one of those instant hits, having already reached #1 in Norway and now likely the top 5 in the UK; without a music video or a single release.

 06. Owly Rae Jepsen 'Good Time'

 07. Taylor Swift 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together'

 08. Pink 'Blow Me (One Last Kiss)'

Nice boost for 'Good Time' here too, up two places since this morning. Guess Jepsen's feature on BBC Breakfast did as it should, though I missed the performance. 'Call Me Maybe' also up a couple of places from this morning to #35.

Debuting at #3. Just wow, and I thought #11 was an insane debut.

Out on the 8/10 so this week is make or break!!

The Script must be no2 now combined and Tulisa top 10?

The Script very close but not #2 yet (according to Kworb), Tulisa still #11 combined.

The 59p section is messed up. Fun, Cheryl, Monsters & Men, Plan B aren't even been advertised as 59p!

12. Cheryl - Under The Sun

14. David Guetta & Sia - SheWolf (Please don't stall and knock Bom Bom out of the top 10)

16. Mumford & Sons - I Will Wait

17. The Killers - Runaways (Underperforming :( )

21. Of Monsters And Men - Little Talks

23. David Guetta & Ne-Yo - Play Hard

35. Plan B - Deepest Shame

45. Conor Maynard & Ne-Yo - Turn Around

47. Kanye West & Jay Z - Clique

49. PSY - Gangnam Style

That might be because their record labels discounted the songs. The 59p section is probably only for songs that iTunes themselves choose to discount.

'Play Hard' has made a pretty big jump from yesterday, possibly is in with a shot of official top 40 this week then.

 46. Clique - Kanye West, JAY Z & Big Sean

Come on top 40 (on iTunes)!

66. Angels - The xx

Good thing Pink didn't get #1 then, would've been a nasty fall, 01-06 or 01-07 most likely. Has done well to climb a bit though today, but with 'She Wolf' and 'Live It Up' both possible late top 10 entries for iTunes, and Example's 'Say Nothing' on Sunday, it could well only spend two weeks in the top 10 officially.

Didn't realise 'Say Nothing' was out so soon, would have guessed it was still 2 or 3 weeks away - it'll only need about 50k to go to #1 so fingers crossed a third #1 for him is pretty much in the bag. Still waiting for the song to properly click with me though.

New Biffy Clyro on Sunday as well, not expecting anything big but hopefully another top 40 hit at least. Their album will surely go #1 this time.

'Clique' #42 :D 2 more places!

'Clique' doing better than I thought it would be already! One of the songs of the year for me definitely.

By far the best thing from 'Cruel Sunmer' so far.
