It's not a flop at all, I don't think. These songs don't do all that well anyway, and Tulisa's not performed on any shows recently, has she? I can't imagine stations like Capital playing it either. I'd say it's done quite well.

But also given her high profile status and how well the last single did... it is a shambolic flop, no doubt about it.

There have been bigger flops (e.g. Papi by Jennifer Lopez, Marry the Night by Lady Gaga, Wet by Nicole Scherzinger, etc.). Those songs flopped because they're absolutely atrocious.

On another note, I'm surprised Play Hard is #20 and She Wolf is #13, considering the latter had radio airplay for a few weeks on Capital and Radio 1, I would've thought the sales gap between the two songs would've been bigger. But I guess Ne-Yo and Akon are big names, so the song will probably free-fall later in the week (until it's inevitably promoted as a single).

The radio airplay for LIU has been very low, even tv airplay hasn't been that high. Whatever happens, her next single will be s lot more successful, especially as she'll most likely perform it on X Factor.

10. Sam And The Womp - Bom Bom

11. Cheryl - Under The Sun

12. David Guetta & Sia - She Wolf

13. Tulisa - Live It Up

15. Mumford & Sons - I Will Wait

17. The Killers - Runaways

20. David Guetta & Ne-Yo - Play Hard

36. Plan B - Deepest Shame

39. Conor Maynard & Ne-Yo Turn Around

42. Psy - Gangnam Style

In terms of novelty internet viral hits, "Masterchef Synesthesia" quite literally sh*ts all over "Gangnam Style" and that MADE the Top 40 in the UK.

What a great comparison, all singles by artists which were released far into an era as opposed to a pre-album single following on from a single which was a pretty big #1.

She preformed it on Lorraine this morining, so that was a bit of promo.

Eric, how inaccurate of you,all these songs were released after the release of the album. Wet was released as a fourth single and sold well despite having no airplay.

I'm not so surprised that tulisa is underperforming - the song is a lot more love/hate than 'young' was, which was pretty safe, and everyone* I know, including myself, much prefers that.

* = not including eric

COME ON TULISA!!! (Doubt she will do it on iTunes, but she could get it officially with the EP too...)

The EP isn't gonna help that much, it was only #9 on the album chart which was the first sign that the song was gonna underperform in the charts.

11. David Guetta & Sia - She Wolf

12. Cheryl - Under The Sun

13. Tulisa & Tyga - Live It Up (I think this will end the week at around #12-13)

19. David Guetta & Ne-yo - Play Hard

33. Kanye West & Jay Z - Clique

37. Conor Maynard & Ne-Yo - Turn Around

40. Psy - Gangnam Style

It's like reliving Pixie Lott's last album era again

I don't think Tulisa was hoping for any success here, didn't she say that she wasn't expecting it to be top ten? I'd say it's doing fairly well.
I don't understand why she'd release a song not expecting it to do well. She's on her second single, which is pretty pivotal in any career...
If Sam and the Womp drops further, it will be advantage to She Wolf, not Live It Up, because the former will enter the top 10.
I dont mind or dislike Tulisa but its hilarious on here how her fans are saying things like 'Tulisa was never expected to do well with this type of song' or 'she hasnt performed anywhere'. Apart from the fact shes on the xfactor every saturday night which is one of the biggest shows on tv lol!

She's released tonnes of singles before as part of N Dubz, a trio of amazing albums and touring the country. She's fully entitled to experiment with songs that the UK aren't too familiar with now she's gone solo for a little while

The fact that she knows the song isn't the most commercial yet she still released it shows she doesn't care if it peaks at #13.
