I really like this! So infectious, catchy and likeable.

If his whole discography consisted of 'Heart Skips A Beat's and 'Troublemaker's I think I'd be such a fan.

Why should he have to 'glossy' himself for the American market? That's utter bullshit. If he'd done the predictable 'vamp following him round in club' like I said above he wouldn't have carried it off and he would have been a laughing stock - not saying that in a rude way but it wouldn't have been Olly or what he's about. Isn't it a better to have an artist who thinks outside the box and tries something different for a video like he does?

The director comes up with the concept and Olly goes along with it as proven by his behind the scenes of DWMT and Busy. He likes people to know he can press a button but he's not a diva. I just want them to make the video look like they spent decent money on it as it's the lead single, or make it look like the British HSAB video where he looked cool, it looked expensive but it was probably cheap. While Olly fans are loving it, I don't know how impressed the casual viewer will be with this video. If they're gonna ruin HSAB and offend Rizzle Kicks by putting Chiddy Bang on it then he might as well pander to the American market properly but more than that I want it to look decent to everyone else as well. This song has big hit potential and I want him to do justice to the song. I mean the song itself is still true to Olly but is more international than his others which proves he can still be true to himself, I expected something similar with the video. I'm really hoping he moves up another level with this album cos it's a disgrace he gets shunned by the Brits panel and isn't considered a serious artist by many. By the sounds of things Army of two (bound to be a single) is his best song yet so I'm hopeful it'll happen for him this year.

Quite literally to the comment I highlighted in bold - 'Stand Up to Cancer' prank that was on Channel 4 last Friday, right? That was hilarious!

The difference between this and the 'Heart Skips a Beat' Shitty Bang fiasco though is that we knew exactly what was coming - Olly's amazing song with a second rate US rapper thrown on it by Columbia against his will. With 'Troublemaker' none of us had a clue what this would sound like before we heard it - naturally so because it's the first single from the third album. And as it happens nothing's been ruined here and Flo Rida's appearance on 'Troublemaker' is actually a combination that works pretty damn well in practice despite my earlier concerns. And as long as it works better in practice than on paper then what does it matter? Olly said himself he wanted to get him on the track and didn't think he'd even respond to the early demo he and Claude Kelly sent to Flo Rida's people.

People and the fans (myself included) love Olly because like you said, he's not a diva, he's realistic about who he is as an artist and he doesn't take himself too seriously but (and I know this having met him a few times) he does work incredibly hard. And he still has his signature sound/style but he adds a new dimension to it with every release. He's actually that rare beast of male solo pop artist who appeals to a male AND female demographic like Robbie, Justin, Bruno, Michael Buble before him.

But sell yourself out completely to America and ignore everything that makes you what you are as an artist and you end up losing your career back here and you join the Bedingfields in the 'Where the Heck did they Go?' file (something that The Wanted will probably come to experience shortly too no doubt). As far as the video goes Olly's playing it very wisely indeed here and he needs more credit for that, and generally as he has a lot more creative input then people will probably give him credit for. In any case a good pop song will speak for itself regardless of video - evidence in the amazing airplay it's already getting. It's not all about the cash and special effects under the sun being thrown at a video for the sake of it or to make it 'upmarket'. I generally prefer videos that take on a different stance of approaching the song and the lyrics because it keeps it more interesting - but each to their own.

As far as the whole BRITs panel thing goes, next year's ceremony isn't for another four months. He might be nominated for Best British Male this time, who knows. He says himself in his book that he knows he's not everyone's cup of tea (especially with some music 'critics') but he is to those who love him and he just focusses on that. If you're going on what he's like in a live capacity and on his tours then that I would argue would definitely swing the ball in his favour. But what he's taking to America is more or less the same artist we all love and kudos to him for it. I shall mention no names but there are some of our own artists out in America of current who could stand to learn from his example!

Wow. What a troublemaker that girl is.

SLAP MY ARSE AND I'LL GIVE YOU TOO MUCH WATER.

Hahaha! To be fair I'm sure that is something every waitress that's been perved on has wanted to do but never dared to!

Yeah I think that poster was thinking like me and would expect her to throw the water on his lap or his head, that was a bit tame.

I guess the songs themselves are the most important thing, it gets better the more I watch it anyway. It's better than The Wanted one where they're just beating people up, a bit grim for teenage girls surely!

Just heard Busy as the theme on BBC comedy Me and Mrs Jones, it's been the bed for the M&S for ages as well, ker-ching! HSAB is the background to everything, Thinking of me does alright too, maybe this song will follow suite. It's decent as an instrumental.

Yes! I love that show actually, Sarah Alexander who I loved in 'Coupling' and 'Green Wing' is in it, as is Kelle Bryan who used to be in Eternal - she's a really funny actress actually - but they do use quite a bit of Olly's music in the show. 'Dance With Me Tonight' and 'Heart Skips a Beat' have both been used!

I'm really liking this at the moment! Flo Rida's rap still seems a bit pointless (except the intro, but that was the same with The Satudays' "Higher"). I can't help but find the song similar to Britney Spears's "(You Drive Me) Crazy" though(!) - mainly the "trouble-troublemaker, that's your middle name" line with the "you drive me crazy" line of the chorus from each song

OH MY GOD!!!

I just said to Lee that I thought I was being weird for thinking this sounded like You Drive Me Crazy - I'm not off mad, okay, that's assuring. It's the 'I swear you're giving me a heart attack' bit for me doing the 'baby thinking of you keeps me up all night' bit.

To this day though, You Drive Me Crazy is my favourite Britney song, so at least this song has that going for it.

Yeah it's like one big ad for Olly's music tbh! :D I recognized her from Eternal, not changed much has she. Neil Morrissey's Swedish 'girlfriend' is fit.

Whole wealth of TV he's doing besides The X Factor performance on the 18th...he's on 'The Jonathan Ross Show' next Saturday after X Factor (well after Xtra Factor for me in my case on ITV1+1 cause they're on at the same time) and he's on the revamped 'Surprise Surprise' with Holly Willoughby on 25th November :)

Glad to see he's on Jonathan Ross, now it's only Chatty Man and he's done the big 3 chat shows in the UK (as he's been on Graham Norton).

I have a feeling this song could overtake HSAB as his most viewed video. Hopefully it'll be his biggest hit in terms of airplay, tv play and units shifted as well, would guarantee a successful era for him..

I love Troublemaker. It seems much more in lines of his debut album than the second one, which i'm happy about.

It doesn't beat ''Thinking Of Me" but it's my favourite lead single of his. :D

Live video of 'Troublemaker' with his band that will be on the deluxe iTunes edition of 'Right Place Right Time'. Sounds even better live!

I wonder how he's gonna top performing with The Muppets last year when he does this on X Factor? Obviously Flo Rida will probably be there but it's exciting to think what he'll do!

Really like this, has anyone else found he sounds a little bit Adam Levine from Maroon 5 in parts on this track???

He's admitted he's not happy with the video for this, hopefully he takes more control next time.

It's number 5 on the airplay chart already! #hit

Source? I've not seen him say it anywhere in last few days!

Performing 'Troublemaker' on 'Surprise Surprise' on 25th November on ITV1. He's also performing it on the Swedish X Factor next Friday - then obviously it's the performance on our one on 18th November!
