Revolution is doing similar to what The Event did 2 years ago. It's ratings will drop like a stone.

So who watched the Partners pilot? It was AWFUL. Clichéd cliché on a cliché. Campy gayer? Check! Sassy black woman? Check! Relationship between a man and a woman getting more air time than one between two males? Check! Unnecessary drama (I mean what's with the whole 'this friendship is over' nonsense?! As if it'd be that easy if the friendship lasted for a couple of decades! :/ )? Check! Sophia Bush being awful? Check!

I don't know.. how did The Event do? I don't think it started off as good as Revolution. The Event had a brilliant pilot but it lost its way very quickly, and the aliens reveal was bloody laughable. If Revolution stabilizes somewhere between 2.4 and 2.7 it's a good bet. The writing is much better, better cast, and more money behind it.

The Event's pilot episode got a 3.6 and then ratings started plummeting.

'Revolution' is strange. I'm really not sure if I like it or not. It definitely has it's moments on both sides, but I keep finding myself wanting to watch it and supporting it, because I want it to be a success. Very pleased it's doing well though. At the moment I am HATING the way they are just cutting it of at the end. It's so sudden and not really needed to end just there. :lol:

The Mindy Project was fun but not laugh out loud funny... everything seems to be coming back weak this year.

Ugh. I was hoping 'New Girl' would do better than that. :(

FOX is going down the pan rapidly, I'm sure it's the next NBC. Mid 2-s will probably make New Girl one of their biggest (only) hits this year.

 

Fox is up a creek. It's entire schedule is dictated by Singing contests and baseball. Strip out the effects of them and they already are fighting with NBC/ABC for 4th place even without the lower rated 10pm hour. They don't have a monster hit on their schedule.

Surprised how badly The New Normal is doing, not that I've seen it yet. Is it too much like Modern Family to get a foothold?

I think the problem with The New Normal is the only people watching by and large will be women and gay men. How many straight men are going to choose to sit down and watch a comedy about two gay men? Its appeal is just a little too limited. But it's doing okay by NBC standards and if it can stabilise above a 1.6 it'll get a second season I'm sure.

 

And it might have something to do with it being, you know, AWFUL.

Anybody check out Partners? I gave it a go and you can really tell it's by the same people who did Will & Grace. It's like a less funny/good version of it. Plus there is no Karen Walker to save the day.

 

 

 

Animal Practice is dead, good riddance. Elementary next please.
