That's not great for The New Normal. I'm a bit surprised, usually the worse the quality of US comedies the higher they rate.

I disagreed with you at first, because I still watch and love The Big Bang Theory but theen I thought of 'Two and a Half Men', 'How I Met Your Mother' and 'The Office' (the latest seasons).

Oh yes TBBT is an exception to the rule, although I only got into it recently. T'otber 3 are abysmal.
NBC seems to have gotten off to a cracking start! Will be interesting to see if they can keep it up.

Of their other 3 new dramas for this season two are bound to bomb hard and one is borderline so I think it'll be down to the comedy... which doesn't inspire confidence. But they are off to a good start, whereas FOX are heading down the shitter at an alarming (but pleasing) rate. :D

'Go On' adjusted up so it held 100% of last weeks demo, what a great week for NBC so far (just wait until Thursday though).

It just so happens that I'm starting to prefer 'The New Normal'.

I love "The New Normal" for it's Little Edie reference :(

It's another "GCB" in the making. Ahead of it's time.

How was GCB ahead of its time? The problem with it and The New Normal is that the appeal is so niche (women and gays). The only straight guys watching will be the ones who are forced to sit through it with their girlfriends.

When I say ahead of it's time, I mean a show that didn't paint religion in the best light for GCB for a highly religious country, not surprised the ratings weren't great.

Same with "The New Normal". It can come off as really preachy and the whole gay fathers thing.

Maybe in 10/15 years things will be different.

Revolution was interesting enough. Was decent enough for me to stick around. Giancarlo Esposito steals every scene.
He does, which I was very surprised by given how utterly ABYSMAL he was in every single in Once Upon A Time.

I haven't seen him in that. The character he plays in Revolution is very similar to the one in Breaking Bad though which probably explains why he's so good at the nice bad guy who can turn angry in a split second role!

How did 'Revolution' do in the ratings? I really hope it's good. Watching it tonight so I'm looking forward to it. I hope it's not another 'Terra Nova' sort of show where it has so much potential but ends up so, so shit.

EDIT: I should read the page before, before I comment and ask about ratings!

Terra Nova was SUCH a let down given the great concept, but being on Fox pretty much hampered any shot at REALISTIC/3D characters.

Revolution was so BLAH.

HATE Charlie - she's SUCH a cliché female character.

It's scary how similar Terra Nova and Revolution seem to be  The most it's going to get is season 2 (given it's NBC so they will grasp at straws to make everything they do happen) and then a big fat 'AXED' stamp.

Ratings from last night:

4.3 The Voice

3.7 2 Broke Girls

3.5 Revolution (doing well)

3.4 How I Met Your Mother (down from 4.7 last year!)

3.0 Mike & Molly

2.5 Castle

2.4 Partners (DOA)

2.2 Bones

1.9 Hawaii 5-0 (ouch!)

1.3 The Mob Doctor

I think The Mindy Project premieres tonight so fingers crossed for that!

Not that a 3.7 or 3.4 is bad but what a bad night it appeared to be for CBS when you compare! Disappointed that '2 Broke Girls' couldn't get over a 4.0 especially, it could be my favourite comedy currently airing.

'The Mindy Project' better be a hit, the pilot is amazing.

'Revolution' continues to be alright but it isn't grabbing me that much, the flashbacks are the best parts.

Good hold for Revolution, I expected a heftier fall than that with the added competition, hopefully it can steady off around 3.0.

HA! at both the GODAWFUL CBS comedies taking tumbles *.*

2.2 for Bones against full competition is pleasing. Just down 0.1 from last week is fantastic. The +7's for Monday nights should be huge, especially with two reality giants taking so much of the audience.

Finals for the night are out and they are cracking!

Castle down to a 2.1, 5-0 down to a 1.8 (!!!), Bones up to a 2.3 making it level week on week ^_^ , shitty we will never meet the bloody mother is up to 3.6 :( , Mike & Molly up to a 3.1 and Revolution down a 0.1 to still exceedingly impressive for NBC 3.4

And The Voice is officially renewed for seasons 4 and 5 to air in the Spring and Fall of 2013. I'm worried they're gonna burn it out at this rate to the point where it won't be such a hit in a year or 18 months time, but then maybe the rotating judges will help out. They badly need to produce a popstar in season three, so far none of the contestants have made much chart impact...
