Nice of CBS to sneak out the cancellation news just after the big press release of their recent ratings. 17.4m for Big Bang is monstrous! The show that keeps getting better.

Am I the only one who doesn't care at all for TBBT or Modern Family? I find both extremely overrated, especially Bang.

I like TBBT but having watched 6 episodes of S1 of Modern Family I have deduced it is not for me. Didn't even get MILDLY AMUSED ONCE.

I love BGT, but I've found it less funny since the introduced the two new female leads personally.

Really? :( I've found that they've been getting funnier since they introduced the two female leads :lol: It was close to getting stale before they did, but I think they've introduced them perfectly, without feeling the need to water down certain characters. Amy & Sheldon together are amazing and I was a bit scared at first that they'd ruin Sheldon and his character completely by putting her with him, but they've seemingly done that the best possible way.

 

The last two seasons (5 & the current one showing in the US) have produced some of my all time favourite episodes, most notably the Halloween episode last season (the one with the pranks :lol:). So pleased to see it's still storming the ratings!

Tbh I've barely seen any of the 5th season. But from the 4th season the storylines all became very soapy. Having love interests is what obviously boosted the show to these levels, but I just find the will they/won't they concept boring. It's still funny, but I always enjoyed the humour with the main boys & Penny, and didn't really like the episodes where they mainly focused on the three girls.

I only watch Big Bang on E4 so god knows which seasons I'm watching but I don't think think I've ever watched an episode and not laughed out loud numerous times. The writing is SO SHARP. Sheldon and Penny rule. It's the only laughter track comedy I can actually watch.

 

Amy Farrah Fowler is the GREATEST thing to grace TV screens since Karen Walker.

 

The episode titled 'The Re-Entry Minimization' (S06E04) is by far my favourite Big Bang episode. I died.

Oh dear - I still watch Modern Family every week but I think S1 (or maybe S2) is easily the best and then it goes downhill. I do find it overrated these days and wishing it could swap ratings with Suburgatory.

 

I think TBBT deserves all the success though, my favourite comedy at the moment and one I can marathon and watch repeatedly. I'm with Jonjo on the girlfriends issue.

 

 

Woo for Partners being gone, hopefully 2BG can have a better lead-in now to help it out.

New Thursday high for Big Bang then (even beat TWD this week :o) and just three tenths from the overall series high, up six tenths from last week, hope this momentum keeps up but I assume there's a Thanksgiving break next week.

Last Resort and 666 Park Avenue cancelled by ABC

Sad for Last Resort. In no way was it suited to be an 8pm drama, and going up against the monster that is Big Bang Theory is not going to easy. I don't know what ABC are going to do, cos throwing a rookie drama in that timeslot is just stupid.

At least all 13 episodes will air.

Gutted that 666 Park Avenue has been cancelled. I was really enjoying that. :(
