No. The reverb on much of it is reminiscent of early 80s sorf rock. The snare sound, the vocals in places, the rhythm guitar.

Zechhh surprises us with a Scandi (?) melodic metal (OR WHATEVER GENRE THAT IS, BRAY, SHUT UP) song by the band with an unpronouncable name. Or DOES HE? S O H N receive their first 20-pointer and get inthe lead! Kindness trying to keep up.

 

I'd call it Folk Metal. And they are actually from Switzerland. :lol:

Pleased with the winner, SOHN was pretty much on the cut-off in my votes of songs I'll keep so I'm pleased the winner was a song I liked. A shame my 20 pointer didn't do too well, honest thought Birkii was easily one of the best poppy song ever entered into this. Pleased to see Kindness high but not so high that I'm not really gutted I didn't get them.

 

By the way I'm classing this as a top 20 finish, ties aren't traditionally split by number of voters, this isn't BJSC. :D

OK, cool. UP XI will start on 13th November, so I'm not running it in complete parallel with BJSC, and I'm happy with the dates I have in my head.

 

I have one ready but my taste in UP entries has been disastrous this year. I never really had my finger on the pulse of what's popular but the last two were shocking.
