September 23, 201214 yr Great to see another album track by Emeli Sande entering the charts! :D And great to see Little Lion Man by Mumford & Sons re-enter. Jessie Ware’s Devotion climbing again! :cheer: Surprised to see Matchbox Twenty up a place: 14-96-95- is quite an unusual chart run. :P Great to see re-entries to the Top 100 by Michael Kiwanuka, Lianne La Havas, and First Aid Kit.
September 23, 201214 yr Nelly misses Top 40 :| Pretty much what it deserved but it doesn't make it any less shameful! How embarrassing for her :/
September 23, 201214 yr If someone had said six years ago that Nelly Furtado's follow up to Loose would chart outside the Top 40, they would have branded a complete idiot. Her fall from the top of the charts is absolutely spectacular and a real shame.
September 23, 201214 yr Pretty much what it deserved but it doesn't make it any less shameful! How embarrassing for her :/ It's a real shame considering that 'The Spirit Indestrictible' is a great underrated album... I hope she releases 'Parking Lot' as the next UK single ... Deserves to be a big hit ....
September 23, 201214 yr I wasn't even aware that Nelly released.an album. Big Hoops was kinda shit Yeah it was really stupid of her management to release the worst song from her new album...
September 23, 201214 yr If someone had said six years ago that Nelly Furtado's follow up to Loose would chart outside the Top 40, they would have branded a complete idiot. Her fall from the top of the charts is absolutely spectacular and a real shame. Exactly. It really shows it can happen to anyone. It could happen to someone like Katy Perry or Rihanna one day even. I think in the world of pop music, if someone loses momentum, people just move on to another pop star. The people that were obsessed with Nelly, Fergie and Gwen a couple of years ago probably just moved onto Ke$ha, Lady Gaga and Nicki Minaj. And in a few years time it might be another set of pop stars dominating.
September 23, 201214 yr Author Yeah it was really stupid of her management to release the worst song from her new album... Yes, they shouldn't have made the completely not-subjective-at-all 'mistake' of releasing the 'worst' (source: Big Mistake) song.
September 23, 201214 yr Yes, they shouldn't have made the completely not-subjective-at-all 'mistake' of releasing the 'worst' (source: Big Mistake) song. Yeah, I think it was a really good song if I'm honest. I think Do It was the worst single choice they did. They went ahead and released it, even though it was clearly a bad idea, due to that whole controversy about the instrumental. And the Missy Elliott remix hardly helped at all. The song is catchy as hell though, if it had used a slightly different instrumental it might've been yet another massive hit.
September 23, 201214 yr Yeah, I think it was a really good song if I'm honest. I at first thought it was a bit of a disappointment, especially for a lead single. But then it grew on me a lot and now it sounds really great. Not too sure if it was the best choice of song for the return of Nelly Furtado though (I would have expected a killer single like Maneater).

Not too sure if it was the best choice of song for the return of Nelly Furtado though (I would have expected a killer single like Maneater). Yeah, Maneater is an amazing single. It's impossible to get out of your head, and it was very ahead of its time. So many songs in the charts the past few years sound like cheap imitations of it. Also, Nelly did loads of promotion back then, I remember seeing her on so many TV shows at the time.
September 23, 201214 yr Yes, they shouldn't have made the completely not-subjective-at-all 'mistake' of releasing the 'worst' (source: Big Mistake) song. If I'm allowed to parade around my opinion as fact then surely Big Mistake can do the same :D

If I'm allowed to parade around my opinion as fact then surely Big Mistake can do the same :D Sorry Bré i didn't know i wasn't allowed to have an opinion ;) thanks Anthony for pointing that out.... i wanna ask you Bre did u purchase or listen to Nelly's new album, i did both, then i think i'm allowed to have an opinion about her album.... actually yes Bré , 'Bigger the better' is , according to my humble opinion and so many other humble opinions (again sorry for having an opinion, i didn't know it wasn't allowed on buzzjack) , one of the weakest tracks on the album and a "bad choice" for first single.... there were some more instant hits on 'Spirit Indestructible' such as the title track, 'Parking lot' which is destined to be her 3rd worldwide single, and 'Waiting for the night' which has been compared to J.Lo's biggest hits, which if released would've surely made m re impact than the international flop that was 'Big Hoops'... 3m80lgmrS-4
September 23, 201214 yr Author I'm not saying you're not allowed an opinion, I'm just pointing out how wrong it is to call a record company 'stupid' for releasing a song you don't like.
September 24, 201214 yr I'm not saying you're not allowed an opinion, I'm just pointing out how wrong it is to call a record company 'stupid' for releasing a song you don't like. Really and u r the record label representative??? Then i'm really sorry.... Plus i never said i didn't like the song i just said it isn't 'comeback' material ... And it's not only MY Opinion it's also the opinion of many music critics, do u want links??? :D
