I really like this album and I really hope it can do well. I'm not sure how it's going to do this week but they've got The One Show (linked with Children In Need) on Friday and hopefully that'll get a few million people watching which hopefully would be enough to at least get it known out there and give it a respectable chart placing in the coming weeks.
I can see it dropping rather than rising as their main fan base would have purchased it on release, apparantly they have started sorting through songs for a brand new album to be released next year. Hopefully light up the world can stay top 30 and show their is still interest for them if they would get up off their backsides and actually promote the project.
Up to #22 on Wednesday!

And with 2 HMV album signings and TV promo planned it could just scrape Top 20! *Prays*

^^So less than 100 sales in Ireland this week?! I think the album will be lucky to scrape Top 40 in the UK today after the weekend sales would have pushed it down from the #28 position on Friday :-(
Ya i would say it would be less than 100 sales in Ireland which is bad. I also agree they will likely plummet in the UK next week, at least it adds another top 40 album to their name.

Surely they (and we actually) can't be surprised by this?

They let the tour momentum die out so that when this finally was announced, less people were interested than could have been. Then they chose to do a Christmas album!! I am more likely to buy a studio album full of new songs (that aren't seasonal!)

So it shifted just over 7,000 in the UK this week - Actually a bit higher than i thought! I am gutted but not surprised - They had such momentum after the greatest hits tour and #1 album but they let all the hype and good feeling about their return totally die down.

Tickets for the tour starting next week have not been good and with a single which smashed the Top 100 and a new album missing the Top 30 i can't see them bothering with a new studio album unless sales pick up for 'Light Up The World' which is very unlikely

Sales are better than i thought but there is no dressing it up that it off to a poor start. Its their own fault as they did no promotion. As Jamesy said they all the hype and the greatest hits did great and they didnt build on it and to me it makes no sense what so ever. I would be shocked if the album manages anything more than 3 weeks on the chart now and if that happens the chances of a nother new album look slim to say the least.
OK. I'm in minority here.

It's fun to be # 1 after 10 years with S.O.S. (same old songs) and # 32 with a new material, even if it's Christmas album, which was realised very early.

I think, that they could be in low top 20, maybe even # 15 with new studio album, but not higher.

How many copies they sold with "Ultimate Tour" DVD?

Have not seen any sales for the tour DVD however it has been in the Top 5 music DVD chart for 4 weeks although I'm guessing music DVD sales are generally quite low.

It only takes around 1,500 - 2,000 copies to get a number one in the music DVD charts last I heard a few years back. Jay may have more up to date info though.

# 73  , but higher, than "Lotus" :D

I sold 2 copies at work today I was most excited  Really hope that this can somehow manage a 3rd week in the Top 75
