H did well out of it a few years back...

After all those racist bullying issues surrounding Shilpa Shetty in series five of CBB, I was convinced that the producers of CBB ensured both Shilpa and Jermaine Jackson were in the final 2. I hardly watched that series but from the bits I did neither Shilpa or Jermaine came across as interesting contestants. H from Steps was the most interesting/entertaining from what I saw and had there not been any racist bullying, I reckon H would've won with ease, but we'll never know.

Yeah I agree with the above, Shilpa definitely only won that year because of the controversy, she wasn't all that great a housemate. As for Claire, she came across pretty badly in the Steps reunion show, a bit whingy and whiney. Compared to Faye who came across very well, sweet and charming but also honest and gutsy. That said, Claire is obviously the people's favourite in Steps and got by far the loudest cheers on the reunion tour, so who knows!
Im impressed if thats the official line up. Im very surprised Claire would in it though, in the reunion show she was very much about not wanting to be away from her family, and big brother could potentially take her away full time for 3 full weeks. Then again, she knows this is a chance to make some quick money and she may as well grab it while she can as she does have a family. All that aside though i would like to see what she is really like in the show, i did like her in the reunion shows but i would say she has a fiesty side to her aswell. Hopefully she does well in it as it would do the Steps reunion no harm, lets hope they are ready to capitalise on it if she does do well.
I very surprised that Light up the world isnt selling really cheap at the moment, i looked at the price on a few online stores and it doesnt appear to be reduced, i was sure it would get a huge reduction to try an shift some copies.

I thought the same too! Was at the very least expecting it to drop below £5 on iTunes - Rhey as much as it pains me to say it totally deserved this flop and it's not as if Claire's participation in CBB will boost sales!

On another note though the Live DVD has climbed this week though!

The dvd has done well, made number 1 and hung around right through x mas. Yes i would agree the album deserved the flop as it was a half hearted attempt, i just hope they go ahead and do and all out and out pop album, and promote it, if so the result could be different.

Claire's just tweeted 'Right my lovely tweethearts! I wont be able to tweet you for a while.... so please follow @UrbanAssociates whilst i'm away... lots of love C'

Definitely sounds like she's off to Big Brother!

I think, that it was the most pointless comeback in pop music.

I don't know what made them think that a Christmas album would be a good idea in the first place tbh - Even Sony were not interested in the idea/project after the #1 'Greatest Hits' album, They should have just come back with a pop album but now they have turned themselves into a Butlins 90s weekender act.

Lisa would never do well, she didnt first time round and wouldnt second time either. On top of that i found her singles very cheap, non of them sadly will have solo success there bet hope of success is Steps. The Ultimate collection done well showing there is hope that people will buy into their pop sound again, the christmas album isnt the style they usually did plus im sure there is alot of people who didnt even know it was released which was down to laziness and pure marketing butchery from Steps and management. With Claire in big brother the ideal outcome is she does well and steps have new music ready to go but i doubt that will happen. The future doesnt look to great and even if nothing else happens it was lovely to see them back even if it was briefly.
From what she said on her VT, it sounded like Steps was over (again)
 R.I.P Steps again! Seems like they never really wanted to comeback or work hard at doing so and clearly hoped that they would make a few quick £££ off the back of a Christmas album, Not surprised if they have called it a day though - The album flopped and the Christmas tour was an epic flop after the 'Ultimate Tour'
To be fair, there wouldn't be a difference if they called it a day or not. They do absolutely no promo. The fact is, you can tell Claire is the driving force behind them not reuniting, the way she discusses Steps is past tense.
Ya i would say Claire could possibly be the one who didnt want a full reunion, Lee and Faye from the sky tv show showed they seemed the most dedicated and i would say had they there own way alot more promotion etc would have been done.
And it seems to me she's run into the Big Brother house before they could discuss any future Steps plans... just analyzing, of course. I know I ain't Miss Marple.
I would say if steps have called it a day Claire knew now was the right time to do big brother, as they say make hay while the sun shines.
