Heard the first half of the album, turned it off because I got bored. It just isn't my thing at all. Although I'm impartial to a little bit of Jazz every now and again, I can only handle so much of it all at once, so as a full album, I'm not interested.

 

Need to hear 'Bang Bang' though because of the reviews on here, but none of the versions on Spotify have it? :unsure: Is it a bonus only on the physical edition or something? :unsure:

 

EDIT: Just read a comment on youtube saying it's an iTunes bonus!

'Bang Bang' is a bonus on iTunes and the physical as far as I know! :o

 

My only hope is this becomes a steady seller and has a resurrgence in Christmas, on the bright side at least it's doing MUCH better in the US!

Lady Gaga's classical training has always been key to her origin story, so this album with 88-year-old crooner Tony Bennett is no big surprise. Gaga has real chemistry with Bennett (whom she befriended after they performed together at a benefit in 2011) on breezily swinging tunes like Cole Porter's "Anything Goes."

 

Befitting a singer who harnessed vocal firepower on huge club tracks, she sometimes blasts away at these songs rather than relaxing into them. But on challenges like the subtle Billy Strayhorn ballad "Lush Life," the queen of the little monsters more than proves she can be a sophisticated lady too.

The collection of jazz duets dropped Tuesday and has already risen to #1 on the worldwide iTunes chart. Bennett’s been singing the classics for decades, but Gaga is no stranger to the genre either. She’s a classically-trained vocalist who’s never shied away from stripping down her own auto-tuned dance hit records.
