Oh GOD. Just when WANEGBT is about to leave the top 10 :manson:

Hopefully she'll save us all by performing something else!

Fantastic for Adele, already 2x Rihanna and that's sales over the time when people are either asleep or at work/school. Could it potentially stretch to 4x Rihanna by the evening? :o

Still sticking with a prediction of a #4/5 debut for 'Skyfall' but it could go higher if it can keep stretching that lead.

Is that 'fans', or 'stans'? :P

As it turns out, what I thought was the SHM song, turned out not to be - the real one sounds like a danced-up Coldplay song. :blink: Either way, it won't stand a snowball in hell's chance against Adele's MASSIVE fanbase, though.

It amuses me that you use a hip-hop term to describe obsessive fans :D

That's not Adele's fanbase giving her that lead now, it's hype. And either way, that'll have started to tail off this time next week. If GaGa's fanbase couldn't get "Born This Way" to #1 I think Adele will struggle. If it wasn't for SHM she could have held on against a Rihanna record that is already tailing off after its initial burst itself and "Gangnam Style" which is coming from too far back.

Ah, but Dido was a big factor in that song, too. ;)

So what you're saying is : once her fanbase wakes up, there'll be no stopping her?

She was also a sample, he could have used anyone.

And no, because you're gravely overestimating the size of her fanbase.

This is Swedish House Mafia's last single ever, it has masses of pre-orders and has had a lot of radio play. Its also pretty much the perfect song to send them out with, and I sense will have huge appeal across all age range, I would be shocked if it didn't at least get close to knocking off Adele.

(I sound like a promoter for them there, not intended)

James Bond Themes:

001. Adele – Skyfall

133. Chris Cornell – You Know My Name

231. Alicia Keys & Jack White – Another Way to Die

406. Carly Simon – Nobody Does It Better

415. Alicia Keys & Jack White – Another Way to Die

970. Duran Duran – A View to a Kill

989. Garbage – The World is Not Enough

Woo at Chris Cornell in the Top 200! :cheer: I think these are all.

Hopefully she'll save us all by performing something else!

People on Twitter seem to think it'll be 'Red' (though we should know later tonight as that's when she's taping the performance) which could be a good move, WANEGBT has done it's work and she should move on.

"Next weekend" is actually this Sunday though, with Leona. Dunno what happened to Ne-Yo. :unsure:

Oh Don't You Worry Child :wub:

BTW will they release an album before they quit or not anymore?

Top 5 on Kworb

01 = Adele = 100

02 = Rihanna = 45

03 = PSY = 35

04 = One Direction = 21.25

05 = Ellie = 18.75

I think Adele will outsell 1D at this rate - she's shifting nearly 5:1 of there's and over 2:1 of Rihanna

They're releasing another compilation called 'Until Now' (same deal as 'Until One' so will also be relegated to compilations). Their entire output as a 'group' is the six singles. Six amazing singles though so that's alright, I was hoping for a full album from them but it's not gonna happen sadly.

Unbelievable how well DYWC's EP is doing now, it could sell closer to 150k than 100k next week! Now actually expecting them to hold off Adele, I'm sure she'll get #1 some time down the line (possibly the following week EDIT: although Calvin is out then so maybe not - regardless, I'm sure 'Skyfall' will eventually get at least a week in somewhere).

Even if I'm out by a factor of 3, I'm sure she still has a lot more fans than SHM, though.

I would love SHM to be #1 but Adele is massive, so I think she'll be able to stop them. I imagine SHM will be very frontloaded as they rely on a fanbase, whereas Adele will attract casual listeners as well as her huge fanbase.

Adele is big (understatement) in the USA, Swedish House Mafia aren't - 'Don't You Worry Child' is their first song to trouble the Hot 100 there and it's hardly setting the country alight. That said, I agree Adele does have far more fans than SHM, just SHM's fanbase probably has a higher proportion of devoted fans compared to Adele's which is mostly casual fans.

Apparently Madonna fans are going to be downloading her first single tomorrow due to the 30th anniversary of it's release, trying to get it to number one in as many countries as possible. Not that it will work! :lol:

169. iTunes Festival: London 2011 - EP - ADELE

499. 19 (Deluxe Edition) [Deluxe Version] - ADELE

Even if I'm out by a factor of 3, I'm sure she still has a lot more fans than SHM, though.

Since when was the #1 a matter of who had the biggest fanbase? :lol:

I've been really out of it this week, but brilliant to see Clique still doing really well.

13. Va Va Voom - i can almost see this missing the top 10 with the new releases on Sunday and X Factor coming soon. Hope i'm proven wrong though, as it's MUCH better than PTA.

Swedish House Mafia might get the #1 next week because they will have very high EP sales and the radio edit version of their song will be at least #2 on iTunes.

Where is 'Love Me Do' by The Beatles on iTunes at the moment? :D

1D sold much more from their EP and we all know now how much it was actually... it's not THAT much anyway... They need to top Adele to be number 1,

I think they can do it and I'm sad for her, who's releasing in Friday who?!
