One Direction  #4

Rihanna  #12

Ellie Goulding  #32

Kendrick Lamar  #82

They both are doing great... in other weeks Rihanna was heading to number 1 easily...

The EP sales of 1D are VERY high I guess that's Y they aren't number 1 by now.

Yes, I especially love the strings in the chorus. But I prefer The City and The Recipe. I don't understand how this is in the top 100 in the UK though.

You should really give 'urban' UK fans more credit. :P If and when labels push these urban songs in the UK they tend to do relatively well. It's only because the labels usually pushes more pop singles over here which do well which make people think that if those artist ever release an 'urban' single it will flop.

Saying that, I cannot imagine a Pop Kendric Lamar single. :P

EDIT: Top 3 for 1D and #9 for Rihanna now. Diamonds for #1 in 2 weeks! :w00t: All depends on how Leona & SWM will do.

So... does anyone know how many sales the EP actually counts for?

I mean, there are 4 tracks on it. But only 3 are LWWY versions. And it's only twice the price.

The EP counts for one sale. I'd say it's bringing in a lot of sales right now though due to the massive pre-orders.

1D have quite a gap to make up but I'd say it won't take them too long, they will hopefully be #1 this evening!

If you buy the EP it counts as 1 sale, if you buy the 3 LWWY singles separately from the EP- it counts of 3 sales, but the fourth track will count only towards that songs sales and not LWWY.

Hope that helps.

I thought the Official Charts combine B-sides sales with the actual single?

Ah okay, thank you!

I suppose the EP counting as one sale makes it a little bit like buying an old physical single then! With B sides and bonus material.

No - Another World and I Should Have Kissed You (the b-sides to Gotta Be You and One Thing) charted in the top 100. I don't know why they didn't let Na Na Na (the WMYB b-side) chart though.

So in what occasion do Official Charts have to combine tracks together? Cause I remember back when we used to get Tuesday updates sometimes there would be (I think) B-sides in the low top 40 and members would say that "they'll be combined for tomorrows official update" or something of that sort. Or am I just imagining this? :P

Nope you are not imagining that - that was when the physical single sales were tagged onto the B-side by mistake I think. It happens less now because physical sales are close to zero.

Is there a chance of OneD slowing down :teresa:
I expect Rihanna to gain ground as the week goes on - hopefully pass them ;-p sure she will win the war anyway (ie. Total sales of their respective singles)
Could anyone tell me if Portia Conn is anywhere in the Top 1000? Because she's my brothers friend & Harry Styles tweeted about her saying how he watched her on youtube when he was 15 and now she has a single out, so was just wondering on whether it had any effect to any of her songs.

Even if Rihanna doesnt make #1 this week (she wont) she will do another week, Diamonds will be one of those songs that will be in the top 10 for quite a long while, with the video out in probably a good few weeks from now, and radio play will just rise as the weeks go on.

One D will be one of those that peak at #1 then decline down the chart (I think it should have good longevity though like What Makes You Beautiful) will probably sell a very similar amount too.
