Posted October 4, 201212 yr Just thought I'd share this as it has been announced that this cover will be their next single. TLC are rumoured to love the cover and are going to feature in the Official Music video which will premiere on T4 this sunday. Personally I think the girls do the song justice and it's a beautiful cover. Also the way they cover Left Eye's verse is gorgeous. Anyway here it is. October 4, 201212 yr I thought their next single was called See Me Like This or something. Their cover of Waterfalls is nice though. Edited October 4, 201212 yr by Eric_Blob
October 4, 201212 yr I don't see why they're releasing this as a single? They're quite a credible girlband, and whilst this is a credible song, why do they need to do a cover as only their third single ever - seems like an odd move personally. Think the cover is decent, but nothing special, and I love the original.
October 4, 201212 yr Bit of a TLC revival with the new girlgroups going on right now, with Little Mix's collab with T-Boz and this.
October 4, 201212 yr Don't really see the point of this. They should've released the Wind Up Yuh Waist song; that's the best thing I've seen them do.
October 4, 201212 yr Isn't this just the B side / double A side.. sure I read on digispy they said this was being released as the flip side and other song is main single but this seems to be getting all the attention as they haven't yet said what would be third single
October 4, 201212 yr Author Just read somewhere that it is rumoured to be a double A side with See Me Like This, but I haven't seen anywhere that they have recorded a video for See Me Like This, so that may be the reason Waterfalls is getting all the attention. The cover does the song justice in my opinion.
October 4, 201212 yr I think they have recorded a video for both, but I think Waterfalls is the main song of the two, which is a shame because See Me Like This is a great song and would get much less backlash.
October 4, 201212 yr I've always thought they're the new 411, I wonder if this single will be their 'Teardrops'...
October 4, 201212 yr It's a great cover, but has nothing on the original and isn't a great choice of single really, covering such a well loved and well known song when they've had two brilliant original hits.
October 4, 201212 yr I've always thought they're the new 411, I wonder if this single will be their 'Teardrops'... Took the very words out of my mouth...
October 4, 201212 yr I've always thought they're the new 411, I wonder if this single will be their 'Teardrops'... Exactly what I'm thinking, hopefully if this is double A-Side they'll promote the other single more as to just cover a song for 3rd single seems lazy :(
October 4, 201212 yr T-Boz & Chilli are apparently going to be in the music video for this, so it seems it has their seal of approval at least! It's a nice cover, nothing on the original of course, but nevertheless I like that Stooshe have revived it. The original is from 17 years ago; 2010s acts covering 90s hits is the same difference as 00s acts covering 80s, and 90s acts covering 70s etc. I'm fine with it!
October 4, 201212 yr I prefer the original, but I don't think the girls should be ashamed of their version, because it's not like it was awful or they couldn't sing. Everything seems to be top, but I just don't like it. It's not my style...or not anymore, should I say.
October 4, 201212 yr I think it's a strange choice of single, but I like it. I'd say the original is in my top 10 songs of all time, so it was always going to be difficult for them to match up to it. I don't think they're established enough to get away with releasing a cover, but when I saw them do this live in June I was very pleased to hear them introducing it to a new generation. It's a song that will always be relevant so I'm glad Stooshe are bringing it back into 2012.

People who cover songs are always going to run the risk of being critisized about their cover which is inevitable. Obviously not everyones going to like it, but I'm glad their introducing it to people that won't have heard the song before, I showed it to my little sister and she completely loves it and made her go and check out the original so honestly I think there is no harm done in covering a song, as long as the artist does the original justice, which in this case I personally think Stooshe have & if the girls from TLC like it and it's their song, what more does that say :)
October 4, 201212 yr I love their version of it so much and agree with people about them bringing it to a new generation etc. too. One of my favourite songs ever .... I do hope it's a AAside though, does come across a bit lazy and I'm sure they're capable of better too.
October 7, 201212 yr Author The video is here. T-Boz & Chilli look amazing, soo in love with this right now
