Is that accurate? There are tracks were different group members aren't included on the writing credits. And I assume their like the Sugababes were they all get credited, even if only one of them actually put pen to paper.

I'd say it is accurate. Not sure what the source is but we'll find out in a couple of weeks anyway.

'Little Things' is getting played on Radio 1 from 6.30am tomorrow - Looks like they are moving on from the lead single pretty quickly!
They're releasing this the same day as The Wanted? And there was me thinking Olly and Girls Aloud being released the same week was tough...Twitter is gonna be a bloodbath of fanbase insults that day isn't it?

I could actually see neither getting to #01.

Really liking Little Things on first listen although it's SO Ed Sheeran that it hurts, it's almost like they recorded a vocal demo for him for his next album or something...

Oh I'm sorry but if that's the big RESCUE SINGLE the album is doomed*. It's so Ed Sheeran it hurts and that's really not a good thing because 1) he's awful and 2) he has an infinitely better voice than any of them so they just sound like a bunch of kids on a youtube cover.

(* I'm not being entirely serious, it'll clearly still do very well)

The tween girls will lap it up in the same way that Ed has inexplicably become an idol for teenage girls everywhere, it's all in the slushy lyrics. Even if it's not huge here (it will go top five), it will easily bag them another US iTunes #1. I agree though, it has a huge whiff of Ed karaoke demo to it.

Well it's a lot better of a ballad release than 'Gotta Be You' but I'm still a bit disappointed. I can't call how successful it will be either, the public seem to love Ed Sheeran but will it work for them?

Oh and we'll see how it compares after more listens but right now I prefer the Ed penned track 'Moments' from the last album.

My main thought after hearing this was - if I wanted to hear a track that sounds strongly like it's from the hands of Ed Sheeran (which it is), then I'd listen to Ed Sheeran himself. One Direction singing an Ed Sheeran style song highlights their vocal limitations in comparison to him.

It's probably one of the most non-boybandy singles I've ever heard. I can understand this as a "Track 11 of 12" album track moment, ultimately forgotten about, but as a second single launching the album? Well, if their hype machine & fan base wasn't to the extent it is, I'd say it was a dangerous move, but I suppose it'll be lapped up. For a week.

I'm giving them a little bit of credit for not bringing out What Makes You Beautiful, One Thing & Live While We're Young Part IV, because that's the last thing they needed to do. However, bringing out a song of this nature was the second to last thing they needed to do.

I do really like it, but not as the choice for single #2. It's one of those songs, as Jay said, that you'd find near the end of an album and is nice to listen to but is not single material. I really hope it's a success for them though, cause I do really like it and I'm glad Niall gets to sing quite a lot (I guess? It's harder to distinguish Niall and Liam in this).
It's awful. I actually warmed to them a bit tbh and they're ok when they're doing songs like What Makes You Beautiful and One Thing but they really don't have the voices for acoustic songs like this, it shows them up badly. Really bad single choice, I agree it's like track 11 of 12 on an album material and even then it'd be a crap track 11 of 12!

"I won't let these little things slip out of my mouth."

What an unfortunate lyric. Crap song too. Do I detect a Louis solo in verse two?!?!

It's ok. Don't think it will get to #1 tbh. Like others have said it sounds very Ed Sheeran and sounds like it would of been better recorded my someone such as McFly. Louis sounds awful on his verse though.
The powers that be are really trying to push Ed Sheeran over in the US aren't they? First a Taylor Swift duet, now this.

a song sung by five teenage boys about 'little things'?

...comes to mind immediately. and written by ed sheeran??? don't even wanna know!!!

This song is awful. Yeah it will probably grow on everyone a bit by the time it's released but there's no way in hell it's gonna go anywhere near Number 1! Really disappointing.
