To be honest this is guaranteed a top 10 entry it can't really miss with the CIN tag, I don't know why 11-100 was included in the poll.

#1 for me

Spice Girls say hello! :(

Is it just me, or is this song not very good? It doesn't deserve to be #1. It should get in the top 3, but I don't know if it will be #1.

Because there's always some joker who'll make a prediction that defies common sense? ;)

I think they'll peak at #2 or #3. Any lower is unlikely but I also can't see them making #1.

Right guys, lets get one thing straight. Like it or not this song is going straight to number one.

The reasons for me being definate on that are :

1. The main competition comes from Olly Murs 'Troublemaker' - Great song but WILL NOT sell anymore than 90-100k that week.

2. Girls Aloud have HUGE hype at the moment, not to mention the song being EVERYWHERE and also being the CIN song. Therefore its sales will be MINIMUM 120k. It is also available on Vinyl and CD format which GA always sell well with.

MARK MY WORDS - This song is going to the top. Olly may sell better in the long run and may even snatch number one the following week but there is going to be no stopping GA.

I reckon #2 most likely

:drama: How many more threads do we need about this?! I love GA as much as anyone on here but is this not already covered in the other thread/poll about which Girlband will be the most successful with their new release?
Number 1 imo, and also I hope. One of their best, but a weird song choice for CIN :kink:

No question in my mind that Troublemaker will outsell Something New long term but yeah GA could snatch it in a one week face off. I disagree about how much Troublemaker will sell in it's first week though, it's going over 100k IMO, it's easily as radio friendly as HSAB so GA will have to do very big numbers to get to number 1. They could do that as GA single sales are an unknown quantity these days. What did GA's last single sell first week? Anyone know?

#1 for me

Wasn't that song with Tulisa and all those rappers for CIN? That totally bombed. I think this song will go number 2 but it might be number 1, it'll be close.

One Direction's massive hype didn't translate to a #1 or even a top 2 and that sold less than 90k, I think this is far from a certain #1. Gut feeling is that Olly will beat this.
I guess we will have to wait and see but i cant see this shifting less than 120k first week and there is no way on earth Olly will do that. He will get 100k tops i reckon.

Gboy Olly could do that, both his lead singles sold well last year.

Yes good point Bre, it's hard to tell about GA really. Olly has a faithful fan base though who buy his singles in bulk as long as they're pre album releases and Flo Rida is the biggest selling artist in the country this year so they have their work cut out.

Think 'The Promise' did around 85k first week but single sales werent as big a few years ago and there wasn't as much hype with the comeback etc.

If 'Call My Name' can do 150k, there is no reason why this cant come close to that!

Don't forget, if Kimberley is not voted out on Strictly by than, the group might get a guest performance on Strictly, so GA will be ahead of Olly until he performs Sunday evening.

It doesn't work like that though Gboy. I don't think Something New will sell that much. I reckon both singles will do around 110k and it'll be close.

85k is decent for their last single though, tough to call.

I have a feeling it will get to #2/3, they have had so many near misses in the past - No Good Advice, Jump, The Show, Love Machine, Something Kinda Ooooh, Call The Shots. I reckon this could do the same. I hope not though.
