So is Calvin 2,500 copies or 5,000 copies ahead?

I know 2 conflicting sales  I would rather follow the MW report, as the report has more sales info, how annoying.

Would be more inclined to believe the actual OCC who say 5k.

Ouch at Taylor falling to No.5 and shame not to see Loreen in the top 40, not that it was ever going to happen with zero promo and limited stocking. Wow at Kylie's album, really exceeded my expectations, I thought low top ten would be the best she'd get with this album!

And 73k for Robbie? Bloody hell! It sort of seems like he's had this massive career dip since 2002 but he's still commanded opening single sales of 80k+ with Bodies, 230k of his last studio album, 120k of his recent best of, most artists would kill for these sorts of numbers at a career peak, let alone lull!

I think he can just about crack over 100k by the end of the week as for sales of his new album that is yet to be seen. Its been the year of the comebacks, Maroon 5, I never thought they get a #1 single in a million years.

Any news how Heal by Loreen is doing? I hope it can get top 75, it's doing really well on iTunes! :cheer:
So if Muse are up 42% from last week's midweek, and they sold 11k for the full week, it would give them a total of around 16k this week. A couple of months ago that would have been a no 1 album

I'd hoped they never would as well.

Never mind a million seller! :P

I think he can do far better than that! Four days to sell 27k when he's shifted 73k in three! I think 115k at least, and that would be a huge tail off.

Again looking at SHM, they were 1k lower than Robbie at this stage and ended up doing 135k. He'll definitely be far clear of 100k.

I keep on thinking its Thursday, its been a long day, -_- well clear of 100k :P

I'm absolutely happy for Robbie! At least! Great numbers.

That's funny because Tripping, Bodies, Morning Sun, Advertising Space and She's Madonna are much better than Candy but they hadn't a chance to be #1...

Tripping and She's Madonna are my favourite Robbie singles! Along with A Man for All Seasons.

Can't quite believe an abysmal X Factor performance and his crappest single ever see's Robbie score his first number 1 in ages. Really highlights what the singles chart is all about.
It also puts Emeli Sande & Labrinth at 43k

Or 22k - you can never trust MW to get percentages right. (43k seems a lot more realistic though).

And what is that exactly?

Midweek Charts: Robbie set for first singles No.1 since 2004

Candy, his first single on Island since a switch from EMI, had sold more than 70,000 copies this week by the end of business on Tuesday, according to the Official Charts Company, giving it a 69% sales lead over the rest of the market.

Jeepers creepers!!! :o

I really didn't think 'Candy' would've sold that much already. :o Will be interesting to see how much the track sells by the end of the week. Bodes well for Robbie's new album next week.

 4 people at work thought it was a Thursday today too (no, I wasn't one of them!!! <_< ). Some people just love wishing the week away. :P
