August 28, 20159 yr Given that Abrams clearly thought he was making Star Wars when he did Star Trek it'll be pretty similar to that but slightly better. Not because Trek is a worse set up but because he's right for a space fantasy action movie and the (usually) more thoughtful Star Trek doesn't suit him. THIS is exactly true, so I am being cautiously optimistic despite not wanting to get my hopes up at the same time if that makes sense. The main issue with his movies to date for me (mainly Trek, being honest) is lack of DEPTH but Star Wars was always as deep as a rapidly evaporating puddle on a hot summers day (bar Dagobah) so yeah.
August 28, 20159 yr Everything does look right. My only fear tbh is that the film will be focused on looking like the original trilogy instead of actually bringing anything new but I doubt that'll be the case.
October 20, 20159 yr The Official Trailer is here :o :cheer: sGbxmsDFVnE *.* under two months now, gaaah (and tickets now available to pre-order, some of the websites servers crashed!) The trailer still doesn't give away much of the plot asides the basics what we can gather already, which is definitely a good thing.
October 20, 20159 yr I'm booking tickets for me and a couple of friends soon, so excited for this *.*
October 20, 20159 yr Pretty sure this is smashing pre-booking records! My cinema sold over 1000 tickets yesterday! (That's just this site in Nottingham!)
October 20, 20159 yr Pretty sure this is smashing pre-booking records! My cinema sold over 1000 tickets yesterday! (That's just this site in Nottingham!) I think so too, I've heard the Spectre team are a bit annoyed that it's stealing some of its hype at the moment as it's out next week. I wonder if this can challenge Avatar's box office records.
October 20, 20159 yr I've also prebooked for a 00:01 showing on the 17th *.* (even though I'm still expecting it to be Star Trek all over again)
October 20, 20159 yr I too am going at 00:01 having failed to buy IMAX tickets for the Thursday evening. Will probably go at least twice though, so YAY. I do hope it doesn't try and ape some of the plot points of the original trilogy too much (Starkiller Base being nu-Death Star, I'm looking at you). JJ at least managed to mainly avoid that with Star Trek, although it was a reboot so he could get away with a lot more.
October 20, 20159 yr Star wars is the film ive paid to see at the cinemas most, 7 or 8 times. Seen the most, too. The trailer looks faaaaaaaaaab. Frankly the trailer is better than half the movies ive seen this year, so no high expectations then
October 20, 20159 yr Author The full trailer is amazing. I can't see this not being good, everything just looks on point. I think the only criticism will be what the rumours are (and looks to be true from all the media released).
October 21, 20159 yr The full trailer is amazing. I can't see this not being good, everything just looks on point. I think the only criticism will be what the rumours are (and looks to be true from all the media released). Can you elaborate on rumours? I'm assuming one would be that Luke is on the dark side now London 20th October: Star Wars: The Force Awakens has set a new record after selling more advance tickets in the first 24 hours of release than any other film in UK history. Cinema tickets for the hugely anticipated film went on sale yesterday at 8am and within 24 hours an unprecedented 200,000 + tickets had been sold smashing all previous records including Skyfall, Spectre, The Hunger Games and 50 Shades of Grey. The latest trailer for the film was released overnight generating huge excitement across the globe. Star Wars: The Force Awakens sees Lucasfilm and visionary director J.J. Abrams join forces to take audiences back to a galaxy far, far away as Star Wars returns to the big screen from December 17th 2015. The film stars Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Max Von Sydow. Kathleen Kennedy, J.J. Abrams and Bryan Burk are producing with Tommy Harper and Jason McGatlin serving as executive producers. The screenplay is by J.J. Abrams & Lawrence Kasdan and Michael Arndt.
October 23, 20159 yr Author Can you elaborate on rumours? I'm assuming one would be that Luke is on the dark side now Rumour is .. Luke is barely in the first film. He's meant to appear near the end for a short amount of time.
October 24, 20159 yr Despit never being much of a fan of these movies, I actually wanna see this. Trailer looks pretty epic.
October 28, 20159 yr THAT GODDAMN BEAUTIFUL TRAILER I am so hyped for this suddenly. If I had more time I'd rewatch the other 6 but I know them all so well already but YAY STAR WARS
October 28, 20159 yr THAT GODDAMN BEAUTIFUL TRAILER I am so hyped for this suddenly. If I had more time I'd rewatch the other 6 but I know them all so well already but YAY STAR WARS I've just watched the other 6. I should be able to get round them all a second time before I see the new one.
November 5, 20159 yr got a date with someone who is obsessed with Star Wars and wants me to go round to there's and watch the first one. I need to get round to watching them before this comes out anyway but I'm dreading hating it and ruining my love life 😩
November 22, 20159 yr Booked my tickets for 23rd, so excited *.* Also want to watch the previous movies but is there a particular order I should do them in? (e.g. 1,2,3,4,5,6 4,5,6,1,2,3 or any others)

(e.g. 1,2,3,4,5,6 4,5,6,1,2,3 or any others) Interesting question. I would suggest you watch them 456 123 as they were made in that order or if you rather watching them in chronological order 123456 ;)
