it's jj it'll be great. I went to see the first Star Wars 5 times first time round, I was in Florida and went to see the Phantom Menace when that premiered, and I'm know I'm going to love this one - it's got the original cast and it's by the man that has just done two brilliant Star Trek films. Nothing there NOT to like....!

Ahhhh it does look so good. I know we already knew the two main leads, but I'd guess that Oscar Issac would be the third lead i.e. the Han Solo? I'm surprised they have premiered a teaser trailer so far in advance I won't lie, but it does look excellent.

New Star Wars news announced today!

The spin off for 2016 has been announced as 'Rogue One' and Felicity Jones is attached to star.

Episode VIII will be coming out in May 2017 to coincide with the 40th anniversary of A New Hope.

Without a doubt Episode VII is my most anticipated film of this year ahhhh so exciting!!

Absolutely DEAD at that. It looks so f***ing amazing. Why do I have to wait 8 more months???
Not a big fan of the franchise, I've seen a couple of them and I can't remember which is which or what is what and nothing grabbed me and my 8/9/10 year old self, but that trailer is brilliant! Got me excited for the film! I'm marathoning the series just before this is released so I will understand it more though. Excited.

The metal stormtrooper looks amazing. Plus I like Luke Skywaker's new hand!

Wonder who is playing the Skywalker child?

Daisy Ridley has got to be playing either Luke or Leia's daughter. Her resemblance to Natalie Portman is uncanny.

OMFG, just watched the trailer 3 times, this is the film I've been waiting to see for 32 years!! I honestly hoped and prayed that the final trilogy would get made when the original cast were 30 years older. An event!

PS Star Wars blew my mind when it came out, and the film changed cinema. Arguably the start of the modern era of adventure/action movies...

Don't know which I'm going to love more, this or Avengers... :party2:

OMG YES

well apart from he CGI TIE fighters, but that's more down to my own personal issues with CGI V props/models

Looks so good, seeing R2, Han & Chewie in a trailer again was..wow  I know I should be cautious, expect disappointment etc. bit idc the trailer's have been pretty amazing so far so I'm hyped.

I'm not really taken by that new trailer yet, the elements of the original 3 movies are there though. I can see JJ Abrams will get a big box office hit with this. As I said in an earlier post, not a fan of the Star Wars franchise, but I will take a look at them when the movies come out.

And I still got the gum cards in the attic somewhere of the first 3 Star Wars movies

I wonder what this will make all told. I'm thinking maybe $1.2-1.4 billion or so, probably a bit less less than Age Of Ultron though I would LOVE for this to outdo that but I think top 3 OF ALL TIME is perhaps a bit too much to ask, even with all the hype/buzz.

I'm thinking this will breeze past a billion. 'Fast & Furious' has done it in less than 3 weeks. This will smash that one. 'Avengers 2' will have to settle for second highest grossing film of the year behind this. (Although in end of year charts etc... 'Avengers' will win due to being released in April/May)

Monster year all round for box office! Which is amazing obviously!

This will comfortably be the biggest grossing movie of all time, even if it leaks.
I'd be astonished, but pleased if that were the case. I'm sure SOMETHING will top Avatar eventually, but I don't think this will be the one.

I don't think I can ever think of film's hype like this? Like the trailer is everywhere! I can't think of a bad word said about it (plus it looks unreal!!!)

I think a lot will come down to the initial reviews, but I can't see it being anything less than 7/10. Too many big film makers involved for that to happen, plus after all the stick the prequel trilogy got, I think they're firmly interested in building an excellent franchise, rather than a cash cow. I think this will be mega.

I've been dead since watching the trailer.

I hope I'm not being optimistic because we really don't know very much at his point, but I really feel as if this will be better than episodes 1 - 3. The trailer has brought on loads of nostalgia to my childhood years from when the 20th anniversary of the first trilogy was re-released and I saw them all for the first time.

I hope Walker's crisps to Tazos again.
