Posted November 5, 201212 yr Cher has recently tweeted this Cher Lloyd @CherLloyd Just sat here thinking about the 2nd album, hmm what to call it?!? Trickkyyyyy! Hope my brats are good!!! :) xxx Looks like it isn't too far away! I wonder if Oath is going to become the lead single from her 2nd UK album? Glad to see things are progressing, can't wait to hear more from her - 'Oath' is my favourite Cher track yet! :D
November 6, 201212 yr If less shit means 100% pefect as opposed to just about 95%. :D So the re-release doesn't appear to be going ahead? A complete new album would be much better.
February 10, 201312 yr Thought i would make this thread, Have just seen a video from backstage the Grammy Party talking about working on her new album! She said she's writing more and as flat in L.A cause shes in studio everyday working with Max Martin and his team. Heres the video oxWHImz16xM Actually looking forward to this album  Hopefully it does well for her.
February 10, 201312 yr I definitely think this will be more successfull in the UK than the predecessor. Hopefully it's more grown up, as S&S was a bit too childish for me.
February 11, 201312 yr YAY! Back in the studio with Max and his team. Pleasing to hear. Although I do kind of want her to go a little more urban! I think she'd be able to surprisingly pull it off! So excited nonetheless though! :D
February 11, 201312 yr Yes hes sweden based, But him and his team must be in america at the moment :)
February 11, 201312 yr Really looking forward to this album. Yes I thought the image with her first album was a little childish. But that leaves Cher room for progression and can help extend her career hopefully. I think she will be more sucessful in the UK second time round now that the public are more familiar with her.
February 13, 201312 yr Hopefully she can pull something out of the bag this time, because S&S was really boring, and the songs started to grate on me after one or two listens. She needs to try for a more grown up feel, too.
June 28, 201312 yr Some info on the album! “I am trying to make these lovely people wearing suits bring it out quicker just because I owe it to the fans. They have been waiting very patiently, and I feel I’ve worked really, really hard on this one — not that I didn’t work hard on the last one, but I’ve been a lot more involved. Hopefully I’m looking at September. So that’s pretty soon… I’ve slightly veered off a little bit from this sort of bubblegum pop stuff I used to do. I feel like I’ve grown a lot over the past couple of years. So I think it’s time for me to venture out and not play it safe anymore. You might hear some crazy stuff very soon – maybe a bit of garage, a bit of drum and bass. I’m bringing my English back! ...people are going to be very shocked. I’m not the young pop girl I used to be. I’m growing, and I’m changing. The fans are doing that with me, too, and I can’t be dressed up in bright pink forever. I can’t have glitter on my eyes forever. I need to grow up and need to do the stuff that makes me hungry and makes me want this really bad – that’s to move on and outside the box.” -Cher to Idolator“I sat in the studio and it’s the first time I ever cried where I’m writing. I’ll remember that day for the rest of my life.” -Cher to E! Online on dedicating a song to her pop from her upcoming album “I do have a few ballads on this next record. I think it’s very important for me to have those little breaks in the record because I feel like I haven’t really done anything like that before, and it’s about time that I do. I’m really excited for the fans to hear me actually sing. So that should be really exciting to see the feedback on those sort of tracks.” -Cher to Teen.com i'm excited! :cheer: as much as I loved Sticks & Stones, it sounds like this album is going to sound more like Cher & I'm especially looking forward to hearing the song she wrote for her Dad - I enjoy her ballads a lot and I hope she gets a chance to show off her voice
June 28, 201312 yr 'End Up Here' and 'Beautiful People' were missed opportunities. :( Particularly the latter in the US. I think that could have been pretty huge for her over there!
June 28, 201312 yr I agree, I thought Beautiful People would have been the perfect single to close the Sticks & Stones Era and I'm convinced it would have been a big hit in the UK as well as the US. I'm kinda bitter it was never released and I still haven't forgiven Epic for the mess they made of the US release of With Ur Love. Hopefully she'll deliver a few ballads of equal or etter quality and she'll release those
June 28, 201312 yr "Beautiful People" was rumoured to be a single at one point, alongside "Riot!"... dunno what happened there?
October 17, 201311 yr Author Cher has revealed to Billboard that her new album will be called 'Sorry I'm Late' and is due for release before the end of this year. Cher Lloyd's follow-up to debut album "Sticks + Stones" now has a title. During a Billboard session in New York on Wednesday (Oct. 16), the 20-year-old pop starlet exclusively told Billboard that her second studio album, tentatively due out by the end of the year, will be called… "Sorry I'm Late." "I think it has two meanings," Lloyd explained. "It's been a long time since I've actually done anything new, but for me, it's as a person. I mean, I've spent a whole lot of time trying to figure out who I am, and I think everybody goes through that." Although Lloyd's "Sticks + Stones" album, which included the Top 10 single "Want U Back," was released in the U.S. just last October, the U.K. singer's debut full-length was released nearly a year earlier overseas -- and Lloyd is more than ready to return with a more measured, mature pop sound. "Sorry I'm Late" will include the T.I.-assisted single "I Wish," which has moved 53,000 downloads to date according to Nielsen SoundScan, as well as material previewed on Lloyd's recent I Wish tour, which featured another group of "X Factor" finalists, Fifth Harmony. "I think that album title basically sums up all the music, too," Lloyd continued about "Sorry I'm Late." It's been a long time, and here it is, and I'm really sorry that it's a little late!" Check back with Billboard.com soon for Lloyd's multi-song acoustic session and video Q&A about her forthcoming album. http://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/...title-exclusive
October 18, 201311 yr I think she will flop. Her last album only sold average amount and problem is the general public have most likely forgotten about her due to influx of new artists that have come out since.
