Great news! :D Reggie was good as a presenter, but it's time for a change! I didn't like the irrelevant talk and mistakes so hopefully there's little of that in the new show. And it's always nice to hear a female voice on radio that isn't Fearne Cotton or Sara Cox.

For God sake. You don't get rid of a rubbish chart presenter and replace them with another rubbish one! I've listened to Jameela Jamil's request show, and I can't stand her. She will be just as bad as Reggie when it comes to chart facts...probably even worse!

I was just coming in here to say this.

 

At least Reggie kept the show interesting with his happiness but Jameela Jamil is going to be... f***ing boring with her drone and monotone voice.

 

That's one way to flush the Chart Show down the toilet. I'm probably going to be listening to the Big Top 40 form now on.

 

She's not even that fit! I only would if I was drunk, probably. :P

Oh, and why would Greg James and Scott Mills give up their shows for new shows that have at least 5 million less listeners, that's some good logic there.

 

And while I adore Matt Edmondson in the daytime, I can't help feeling that he should do the 10pm slot instead of the diabolical Phil Taggart. :puke:

 

I love Jameela and I think this will actually persuade me to listen to the charts again. To be honest whilst I will always be a staunch advocate of Mark Goodier whose chart shows I grew up with back in the 90's I think the last decent presenter the show had was Wes Butters back in 2003/4. JK & Joel were abysmal as was Reggie.

I guess we'll have to wait and see how she does with the chart show. Would have preferred Scott Mills or Greg James to do the chart show. It was about time Reggie went. How do you think she'll do with the chart show? Hopefully play the whole of the Top40 and not rabbit on about anything which has nothing to do with the Top40 like Reggie did.

She will be bad in terms of the chart show being a rundown of the facts of the chart which is what people here want from the chart but they have for the past 10 years been turning the chart show into a show were young people talk about their fav boy/girl band and jamil is another one of those radio djs that is a presenter(Fearne Cotton/Reggie/anyone from T4) rather than a music lover (Jo Wiley/Zane Lowe).

Jameela Jamil is piff so that will make the last hour of the chart show a lot more enjoyable.

This may convince me to listen to the chart again to see what she's like. Reggie was the final nail in the coffin for me after a series of crap presenters. I didn't mind Wes Butters and Scott Mills is ok but the last one I really liked was Mark Goodier. His knowledge and interest in the chart made it so much better.
