Gabrielle Aplin - The Power of Love  3 :o

YES!!!! Can't believe it!! So so happy, the advert during I'm A Celeb must have given her another boost! I wonder how far she is away from #1 :o

That would be a shock #1 if it gets there. :o

Especially over LM & Bruno. It definetly would. Im in the few that likes it (well for now anyway). So I'm not too bothered about anyone in the top area to grab no.1.

Definitely rooting for her over Bruno Mars. Little Mix would be a fine #1, just not him!

woah!

Is this song having any airplay or is it just shown in a commercial?

I wonder if Gabrielle Aplin can manage a career beyond this because she's shown so much potential over the years and it would be a crying shame to see her become another Slow Moving Millie/Charlene Soraia...

Just the commercial at the moment, hopefully Radio 1 will playlist it this week! :D I don't know if they playlisted the likes of Charlene or Slow Moving Millie though!

I really hope so! She's seems to have a good plan in place with her proper single all ready (even though it is delayed until February) and its doing very well in pre-orders on the album chart! And I think she's got a major label backing her, so it looks good! :D

Radio 1 did play Charlene cause I heard Fearne play it early this year I think.

I can't imagine Ed Sheeran benefitting that much as I suspect most people who would buy the track already have it on the album.

How far are Little Mix off Bruno Mars? :D

Indeed he's clearly extended the album into the final quarter to take advantage of big xmas sales and knowing he'd get an XF performance so the album will sell closer to 1.5million - and why not he was always going to get radio 1 support and if he has that around november/december that will translate into xmas sales - his album should be top 20 during xmas week and that means around 50-70k in sales per week!

A bit like Labrinth in a way.

Gab Alpine doing amazingly well - i hope some of the radio stations playlist this song next week to keep it in the top 10 over xmas like Your Song in 2012 - the ad will keep it selling only round the weekend times - i always remember SMM didnt get much radio support last year so it would be arounf 48 on itunes by thursday but by the end of the weekend its plays during the big tv shows would ensure it would rise up to near the top 20 again!

Thinking about the Gab Aplin song - it could sneak a week at no1 at the beginning of december unless GA or Olly Murs singles sell alot as we have no XF cahrity record this year!

Does anyone know how many other massive hits are on the horizon between now and xmas week - i can think of Olly Murs/Flo Rida, Girls Aloud, Rudimental and a Riri album track/2nd single.....any more?

Really? :o I was kind of hoping there would be one again, just because I was interested as I think it would miss #1 this year.

I know I've said this lots of times, but I hope we can get another year like 2010 with lots and lots of massive hits. However, it's not looking like it'll happen tbh. :( But it should certainly be more eventful than 2011. I agree with you about Olly Murs, Girls Aloud and Rudimental.

Rihanna's 2nd single is probably not going to be massive like What's My Name?, but it should be bigger than You Da One. It's a David Guetta collaboration, I can see it having similar "success" to Where Have You Been. It's a better song though, so hopefully it can manage top 5.

I'm hoping the upcoming songs from Alicia Keys and Daley can be big. There's also new tunes from Ke$ha, Kelly Clarkson, Ne-Yo, Pink, fun., but I think most of them might miss the top 10, let alone get #1.

I think Ho Hey and The Power of Love are also going to be smashing over the next few months.

I really think Alicia Keys could potentially be a huge surprise #01.

Watch me be completely wrong and have her only just make Top 10 though. I don't know why, I just feel there's alot of buzz over her new one for once unlike other lead singles of hers.

I remember even Doesn't Mean Anything making like #2 on iTunes (I think), so you never know.

I'd love her to get a #1 (not that she isn't satisfied with the success of Empire State of Mind in this country ).

I think it was the X Factor performance that helped her out alot with 'Doesn't Mean Anything', and she only performed it part of a medley iirc. I think a good vocal performance from her will really help the song, Olly Murs isn't going to do as well as people think this time round imo.
