Leona Lewis Update:

#178. "Hurt" (Was used in Hollyoaks yesterday)

I was wondering why this had climbed back up, glad to see it has had a decent impact! :D

Surprised to see The Power Of Love having such an impact after being used in Hollyoaks, but the scene was FLAWLESS. I think it's made me love the song...

The boost seemed to come just after the advert was shown on I'm A Celebrity, but maybe it was a combination of the 2! Glad you love it now! :kink:

Nice to see that beautiful cover of Power of Love so high thanks to Hollyoaks/I'm a Celeb. It's use in that Hollyoaks scene was great; haven't watched that show for a few years but tuned into it again this week and WOW. I wasn't connected at all emotionally to the lad that died in the end but even I felt a little teary and Power of Love made that scene

Expecting this to start surging up in the next few days based on last year. Mariah at #81.

So Umi posted in the GA forum that GA are ALREADY (or were) #3 on Irish iTunes and Olly was at #10! Maybe GA DO have the number 1 in the bag over here :o They've always done better here than in Ireland, haven't they?
I don't care I'm loving Olly Murs troublemaker, just wish he wasn't so off putting, but yeah troublemaker and Rihanna's new album are the kind of music I've been dying for all year.

Oh I'm sorry, it turns out that's the album chart. I was fed incorrect info and never thought to check it myself :drama:

On the singles chart, GA are #64, Olly #103.

I have officially lost all faith in you. :(

How could you hate DNA?!

I simply don't like the song and i don't like the fact that they have/had to do and rely on so much promo just so it can be #1 for one week. If it wasn't for The X Factor and Children In Need they wouldn't even have touched number 2 let alone number 1.

I can't believe Gabrielle Aplin is up to #2 now!

I think Olly Murs is guranteed to be #1 tbh. It will be weird seeing Girls Aloud in the top 2 again though, it will be like my secondary school years all over again.

Thanks to that advert!

It looks like One Direction gonna win this week's chart battle! :o ^_^

This week I'm backing GA for three reasons :

1) It's GIRLS ALOUD !

2) I love Something New more than I like Troublemaker

3) Olly is an annoying character and being hold off #1 would be good for his ego.

Great to see the Power of Love up to the top 3 again - hopefully it can get a week at no1 - or it might be like Your Song in 2010!!

Olly Murs Troublemaker deserves the number 1 spot... It's such a catchy pop song, one of the best this year...

I love Girls Aloud but their new single sounds underwhelming tbh... They've done better B-sides..,

Girls Aloud will be number 1 in Ireland, Olly never does as well there as he does in the UK.

Eh? Olly is one of the most humble guys in music.

FINALLY! It's so refreshing to see someone (who is Pensmith) actually point out what I want to say about Olly. He gets far too much hate and I really don't see him with that big an ego. The Wanted boys and JLS have far bigger egos, but they never get pulled up on it. It's one thing to say you find someone "annoying", but it's a completely different thing to say he has an "ego". He's just very proud of what he has achieved to date (so he should be - his career seems to be getting stronger and stronger, whereas it's the other way around for most other artists).

Neither do Girls Aloud, though.

Compared to Kanye West, NOBODY has a big ego.

I agree, I see nothing wrong with Olly. Even if he actually was a horrible person, it's the songs that matter ultimately. However, the only song I really love of his is Heart Skips a Beat.

I tried to stray away from the obvious egos. Estelle, Kanye, Chris Martin etc.. to me they don't seem to get away with it quite as easily as the likes of The Wanted or JLS.
