December 15, 201212 yr Author This is out at midnight in the new EP. Top 300 is probably gonna be realistic for this now but it's had next to no promotion or attention. Loads of rumours flying around today as well in the tabs that their tour next year is gonna be their last as well. It's so saddening that they're probably gonna split in this next year. They have so much more to give. :( Their Christmas show 'A Very JLS Christmas' is on Sky1 is on in two parts on 23rd December and Christmas Eve in happier news though :) Edited December 15, 201212 yr by ThePensmith
December 16, 201212 yr Like Leona's new single they too look like having a huge flop. I can see them splitting next year and probably do a greatest hits and tour. Their recent album hasnt done that great and the singles are flopping. Id rather them continue and work hard on the next album and singles to prove they still have it rather than throw the towel in. While i am not a JLS fan i think bands like these give up far to easy.
December 16, 201212 yr Can't believe how hard this is flopping - I thought the JLS fanbase would get this Top 40 minimum.
December 17, 201212 yr I'm amazed to be honest at how good their management have been with the first 3 albums, how badly Evolution as a whole has been managed. The whole situation with HMD/ GML is bizarre and completely rush released - there are no videos to promote either song, so its not as though by releasing 2 singles it going to save the album if no one can hear them with them not being promoted. Its very bizarre
December 17, 201212 yr Author I think a lot of it is Modest Management being favouritist. One Direction are (much as it pains me to say) sell more and more appealing just because they've broken America so it's obvious JLS have become second billing, they've done next to nothing to promote them from 'Do You Feel What I Feel?' onwards basically. But I think some of it is their fault too. Jukebox was good but it was too close in sound to Outta This World and people have probably ignored this album under the assumption its more of the same. Evolution is their best album since Outta This World but they should have brought it out a year ago. Their tours still sell really well but in terms of album sales its a period of readjustment for them like it was for McFly after Motion in the Ocean. They have such a unique strong brotherhood because their history goes way back before The X Factor and are still in my eyes the best of the current boybands. They have so much more to give and if they split now it'll be really sad.
December 17, 201212 yr Its almost as if the record company want them to flop - No video, promotion or physical kind of defeats the object of releasing a single. They clearly thought pricing it at 59p alone would be enough to secure them a hit - Not convinced that the band/record company will go ahead with a 3rd single from the album if this one misses the Top 75.
December 17, 201212 yr Ouch at Jls going to miss the top 100 with single two from the album! Hold Me Down is actually quite amazing though!
December 17, 201212 yr Just had a look on their website and its not even clear they have a new single out! The video on the main page is for 'Hottest Girl In The World' and then further down there is a tiny section saying the new single is out - It seems the only promotion this is getting is from the lads Twitter accounts.
December 17, 201212 yr I hope they don't split, I'm not really a fan but 'Hold Me Down' is their best song since 'Beat Again' for me and I think the way this release has been handled is shockingly bad ad unfair on them. I'd like to see them change management & labels if it's possible as I feel a lot of the fault lies in them. TBH I kind of forget about JLS when it comes to current boybands, you really don't hear about them anymore.
December 18, 201212 yr I hate the fact we have some boy/girlbands under performing [JLS, The Wanted, Girls Aloud etc,] - Makes me wonder what the record company and band expected from this release? Maybe they just thought/hoped the fanbase would get them Top 20 alone? On the plus side if it misses the Top 100 they can just forget it ever happened

December 20, 201212 yr Their album has been reduced to £3.99 on iTunes so will hopefully get a boost!
December 27, 201212 yr Shame that they're flopping this era. I'm really loving "Hold Me Down" at the moment and I'd say it's my favourite era singles wise!
December 27, 201212 yr Have they recorded a music video for either of these songs? I love both and I'm not even a JLS fan, it feels like a wasted opportunity almost like their record label wants them to flop. <_<
December 27, 201212 yr 'Evolution' is only the 2nd JLS album iv bought - I got their debut when it was released but only listened to it a handful of times and quickly lost interest in them however I LOVE the new album and their latest double A side single is by far my favourite tracks they have released! Bizarre move to have release the single in December with no video or promo when they could have easily released it in January and got themselves a hit and airplay. The album has been reduced to £3.99 on iTunes and the CD is £5 in HMV but seems to be having little impact - It seems as though this era is over for them and the best we can expect is a 'Greatest Hits' next Christmas unless they pull another track from the album and promote it hard to coincide with their tour.
December 28, 201212 yr This ended up charting at #112. It also entered at #94 on the UK Radio Airplay Top 100 (648 plays | 10857 audience rating).
