also im still floored i didnt get thru. like what are some of these songs. idk bjsc is weird now...like indie in a really ugly, boring way tho i''m glad to see acts like telepathe, etc. get through at the same time. girls generation are, by far, the most enjoyable thing to listen to out of all of this (and telepopmusik is a nice throwback). the rest just felt so bland and dull 2 me *shrug*

Yeah, I am in COMPLETE agreement with you. Also worried about sounding BITTER but this final is so low quality it's just gutting.

Well obviously, that means it has a sound that is typical of a standard Eurovision song in order to appeal to a wider audience. Compare it to almost any of the Eurovision songs from this year, and it has a lot of the elements that go into it. It has a very similar structure to particularly Aphrodisiac (Greece) off the top of my head and even some of the ballads because of it starting off ballady and going into an uptempo chorus.

It reminds me a bit of this.

Anyway, VOTED. Early for me I know but I'm off to New York tomorrow (which means I won't be here for the results, so if I win you'll have to wait a while for dates :P)

I shall be voting (hopefully) tonight. The voting window for this contest is awkward though, I always vote on a Friday/Saturday night and there isn't one available this time apart from the very first day when I didn't feel like voting :arrr: I assume my votes would be counted as late if I submitted them at 2-3am on Friday night/Saturday morning as I usually do :(

 

(There's obviously nothing actually stopping me from voting at other times though :P)

I don't see Aphrodisiac in I Will Show You, but maybe that's just me. :lol:

Voted, I found this a decent final, but for a 50th contest it feels a little bit drab. It was quite strange, as there was nothing that I really disliked and I love my top 4, but I struggled to pick ten that I really liked, and a couple just really seem to be 'best of whats left'.

I thought it sounded SO eurovision as well, but didn't want to say in case it was taken offensively!! (and clearly was right~)

Everyone knows that if a song is not ACTUALLY in Eurovision then it's going to get 0 points from me. But if it was in Eurovision then 12 points by default. This system is faultless. :D

Yeah, it's the same points system as was used in the semis. I guess the last time you entered was when it was 18, 15, 12 etc? Since the semis have returned (BJSC 30ish), the final has gone back to 12, 10, 8 now. Hope that helps! :D
