April 1, 201312 yr I'm not entirely sold on Pixie as a popstar! I reckon she just got lucky with some of the singles she had. On the whole, Turn It Up, and Young, Foolish, Happy were bland and uninspiring. Hopefully she proves me wrong, but that song doesn't full me with hope either.
April 1, 201312 yr I love Pixie Lott. "Can't Make This Over" is one of my best songs ever!!! I think that she has the potential to do great things with her third album!!!
April 2, 201312 yr She should do a Billie, except no one would miss her music this time. Well, we don't know how major her role is yet. Obviously Billie's acting career really took off in 2005 with Doctor Who (despite being in small acting parts prior to that), so I expect this is just a small, one-off role for Pixie. If it were something like Doctor Who she was going to be in, I'm sure an acting career would be screaming at her, but I reckon she'll go back to the album, and music after this. ^_^ You're right though, Billie's music is much missed. :(
April 2, 201312 yr After a proper and true sophomore slump a niche concept album is just what she needs. Pixie does Mowtown. I fully expect and look forward to a £stretcher 'Back to Basics'. 'Back to Basics' wasn't Motown.
June 1, 201312 yr PIXIE LOTT had better hope the acting jobs keep coming – as the music thing has taken a bit of a bad turn. The singer has drifted into relative obscurity since releasing second album Young Foolish Happy in 2011. Now her label, Mercury, have postponed her third album because bosses think it’s not up to scratch. Pixie’s currently starring as a holiday camp entertainer in Beeb TV drama Inspector George Gently.
June 1, 201312 yr Her music has always been a bit shit so it's not that surprising she has ended up in this situation. Her debut single and the two follow-ups were decent enough but nothing memorable and then everything after that was just terrible (bar WDYTMF). 'All About Tonight' has to be one of the biggest pieces of shit released in the past couple of years. The production is the epitome of a demo, the lyrics are dreadful and don't even get me started on the video. I'm really interested to see how things work out for Pixie. Capital will probably touch her but I'm not sure about Radio 1. She might get the Kesha treatment.
June 1, 201312 yr I think she'll be doing some deeper research into her role as a holiday camp worker if this goes how everybody knows it will
June 1, 201312 yr I'm actually looking forward to hearing a new single, it'll be hilarious for all the wrong reasons, but it'll be a good laugh nonetheless!
June 1, 201312 yr I've always had a lot of time for Pixie but I must agree the second album was dreadful. I saw her supporting Olly Murs at Chelmsford last year and Diana Vickers (who also supported) by comparison was much better to watch live! For me she's kind of like a modern day Billie Piper or Hannah from S Club - singing first and then gradually moving into acting.
June 1, 201312 yr We are very excited for the new @pixiesongs album, coming soon! It's sounding amazing! #pixiebacksoon Tweet from Mercury Music suggesting that what The Sun reported is false.
