Oh don't get me wrong, Total Eclipse Of The Heart and Holding Out For A Hero are some of the most fantastic tracks ever, but I think that ship has sailed.

Not only did the ship sail, it got lost at sea!

Apparently, when Graham mentioned the 4 weeks thing - she hadn't been played. But then at the end of the show, he did play a song of hers (maybe to confuse us fans!). I'm not sure if that was true as I didn't listen to the show, but that's what I've read!

I do agree those two songs are great, but I also agree the ship has sailed. Much like Engelbert, she'd have been fine entered in her hey-day but we really don't need her now! Which means she's all the more likely

Although maybe not if she wasn't played by Graham Norton, as she obviously doesn't fit the clue then.

Looking back at that list, maybe we could have Jessie J? She seems to have very strong ties with BBC lately (one of faces of Comic Relief and coach on The Voice). She'd be a good choice and her new album is coming out soon! Not entirely impossible?

Oh no. Come back Bonnie, all is forgiven!

If Bonnie was the UK entrant 20 or even 10 years ago, then it wouldnt be so bad. But she doesnt have the voice she had back then. I've seen some recent live performances and she does seem to struggle with some notes. I hope the BBC realise that Eurovision isnt about 'that one' performance on a Saturday night. These days, the national jury gives thier points on the night before - (at the final dress rehearsal) - then the televoters will be added after the Saturday night performance. We need somebody who can pull it off twice on consecutive nights, and i dont think her voice would cope with it so much these days. With all of the weeks rehearsals and the tour that she's doing on top of it.

If they cant get Paloma Faith, Olly Murs, Joss Stone or Alexandra Burke to do it - i'd rather take a chance with Bo (from the Voice), or another 'Voice' contestant or Lucie Jones, Ella Henderson, and try a fresher more up do date approach... :)

They should just send this girl... Such an injustice that she didn't get through :(

ย

Well if it is Bonnie Tyler, that should guarantee us 12 points from Germany if those tour dates are anything to go off. :D
LOL at the thought there's a chance in hell we'd send JESSIE J (or indeed anyone with anything resembling a career)
And there goes the mystery of the United Kingdom's Eurovision entry :(

Yay for the BBC sending people who haven't been relevant for as long as I've been alive.

ย

Hopefully the website is just to promote her new album! :(

I actually really like Believe In Me (those strings ) but it's another one way ticket to the bottom five for the UK for sure.

She seems willing to embarrass herself so why the f not?

Well whenever the annoucement is made you guys might want to update the forum description.

With Blue's contemporary pop hit I Can bringing the UK kicking and screaming into the 21st Century after a decade of kitsch, have the BBC finally rediscovered the formula for international success? Come inside to speculate and discuss the world's most famous music competition.

Englebert was such an anti climatic choice, nobody could even begin to think of a new description for last year. I'd have put "Loreen will win Eurovision 2012. Englebert? Bless!!!" or something like that.

Jessie J would be such an unlikely choice that I am actually going to move to Montenegro if it's her. Also because I would no longer want to call myself British.

Urgh, I am worryingly seeing LEMAR on that list. :(

(oh and MIKA seems kinda plausible too given he's OVER in the UK)

I be more worried if David Sneddon/Alistair Griffin is on the list. :(
