Posted December 2, 201212 yr I think it's between Buble again, Bruno Mars or even Rod, as he has a big ITV special right after XF next Saturday. So predict the No.1 album on Sunday 23rd please.
December 2, 201212 yr I think itll be Michael Buble which would be pretty remarkable - its bound to have been done before but who has been the no1 album 2 Xmases in a row?
December 2, 201212 yr Author I think itll be Michael Buble which would be pretty remarkable - its bound to have been done before but who has been the no1 album 2 Xmases in a row? I'd say the Beatles but that's without looking it up which I will do later. Have to agree, think it'll be Buble again but I bought it last year. Don't buy again for a few extra tracks! EDIT: It's never been done with the same album but the last was Robbie with Swing When You're Winning in 2001 and Escapology in 2002. The Beatles did it in '63, '64, '65, '67, '68 and '69. Only Sound Of Music soundtrack stopped them in 1966. Elton John did it in 1973 and 1974 and Abba too in 1980 and 1981. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:UK_C...as_No._1_albums Edited December 2, 201212 yr by Common Sense
December 2, 201212 yr I think itll be Michael Buble which would be pretty remarkable - its bound to have been done before but who has been the no1 album 2 Xmases in a row? With the same album, I don't think that's been done before - not even with The Beatles!
December 2, 201212 yr Author With the same album, I don't think that's been done before - not even with The Beatles! No it hasn't.

It had 1.3 million sales between 24/10 and 1/1/12 then barely anything until 1/11/12 this year so it still has legs surely!!
December 2, 201212 yr I think itll be Michael Buble which would be pretty remarkable - its bound to have been done before but who has been the no1 album 2 Xmases in a row? Yes it has, The King & I soundtrack was No 1 for Xmas 56 & 57 South Pacific soundtrack was No 1 for Xmas 1958, 59 & 1960! :o
December 2, 201212 yr Author Yes it has, The King & I soundtrack was No 1 for Xmas 56 & 57 South Pacific soundtrack was No 1 for Xmas 1958, 59 & 1960! :o Thanks. I don't mind being corrected.
December 2, 201212 yr I don't think Buble will get it for a second year - Would not be surprised to see Rod take it seeing as Christmas albums seem to be in fashion in the UK or 1D with all the last minute stocking filler gift buying.
December 2, 201212 yr I think Bruno could easily do it if his first week sales are good enough. Otherwise, Rod Stewart or Michael Buble.
December 2, 201212 yr No-one thinks Olly Murs has a chance? He did have the Christmas number 3 album last year, behind big selling Michael Buble and Amy Winehouse albums. I don't think any albums this year are going to be getting close to the Buble/Winehouse sales of last year so Olly will be close. I reckon OneDirection are going to get big sales from post-Xmas iTunes gift card sales, the pre-Christmas CD present sales will go to Rod Stewart, Olly Murs and a bit of Buble?
December 2, 201212 yr Olly might fall behind the acts in the XF final next week - has he any other promo before xmas?
December 3, 201212 yr Unless Olly has promo lined up he won't beat Bruno given he has to sustain his sales for a week longer. If it's not a Christmas album from either Bublé or Rod it'll surely be "Unorthodox Jukebox".
December 3, 201212 yr I think One Direction and Rihanna will be #1 and 2, which order depending on who connects best with the audience with their new songs during the X factor final. Buble will be #3.
December 3, 201212 yr I think that Rod Stewart might get the Christmas #1 album this year! I don't see any of the other contenders getting it...
December 3, 201212 yr Author I think that Rod Stewart might get the Christmas #1 album this year! I don't see any of the other contenders getting it... I hope he does. I bought it and am enjoying it.
December 4, 201212 yr Does it start with Hi Im Michael Buble and i wanna wish you a happy christmas..... :P
