Having listened to a few of the full songs (they are on YouTube, and not pitched either!) Grow Up, Ain't It Fun and Part II are the best along with the two singles so far.

Monday can't come quick enough!

The album leaked (my hubby's had it since Saturday!). Sounds quite good to me, though that may be because he's drilling the songs into my head. 'Ain't It Fun' is a highlight of mine, so smooth.

Some Reviews

ALTERNATIVE PRESS - "A sprawling, 17-song, 64-minute monster that is without a doubt the finest music these three artists—vocalist Hayley Williams, guitarist Taylor York and bassist Jeremy Davis—have ever made."

5/5

ABSOLUTE PUNK - "Instead of pursuing all things epic or intentionally moving to a specific sound, the band had a blast pursuing every genre under the sun, creating a damn good album in the process."

8/10

THE GUARDIAN - "Previous Paramore albums were crunchy rock records with crisp production, but this is more loose and playful, while still indulging the band's ability to pull off mammoth, arena-friendly choruses."

8/10

SPUTNIK MUSIC - "Hayley Williams gives the first of several poor singing performances on the record [on lead single, "Now"]; the verses are toneless and she tries to cram too many words into them without really saying anything."

3/10

UNDER THE GUN - "The trio used just over an hour to express themselves to their fullest with touching lyrics, emotive instrumental parts, and some of the most explorative and experimental ideas to come from the band."

9.5/10

YUPPEE MAG - "Paramore is a gallant effort from the incredibly talented band that will see them climb higher and higher to music stardom."

THRASH HITS - "Playing it anything but safe, Paramore feels like a victory for both the band and creative, gutsy pop-rock songwriting."

All the reviews I can find at the minute. Apart from the Sputnik Music one, they all seem positive and the album currently has a Metacritic score of 85 :)

Was released in Ireland yesterday and is currently #2 on iTunes. 'Future' sounds quite nice!
Will watch this when I get home. Saw the still posted on their Facebook page yesterday, she looks amazing

It's very colourful, and not like Paramore at all.

But they look like they are having a lot of fun!

01 Fast In My Car

02 Now

03 Grow Up

04 Daydreaming

05 Ain't It Fun

06 Part II

07 Last Hope

08 Still Into You

09 Anklebiters

10 Proof

11 Be Alone

^^That would follow the Riot! format and probably be a stronger album, but I'm kind of glad that they just went for the 17-track-sprawling-brilliant-mess approach. The first half is astonishingly strong, possible singles:

Now

Still Into You

----

Ain't It Fun

Daydreaming

Proof / Grow Up

I'd go with something like:

Now

Still Into You

----

Ain't It Fun

(One Of Those) Crazy Girls

Be Alone

It would be funny if they decided to release one of the interludes

On another note I'm actually surprised to see 'Still Into You' still climbing, thought it would have started falling like itself last month and 'Now'.

I'd be very surprised if 'Fast In My Car' wasn't released as the next single. 'Ain't It Fun' is my highlight though, so I'd love it to be released (and preferably do well!).

So pleased Still Into You looks likely to be a hit, Now was such a disappointment but I love Still Into You! Annoying that Radio 1 still seem to be supporting/playing the former though.

Might give the album a go. I didnt with the last one but I adored Brick By Boring Brick and The Only Exception.

'Brick By Boring Brick' is by far the best thing on the last album!

I've been seeing 'Still Into You' on 4music a few times recently and I love it! It's definitely the most pop song I've heard from Paramore and the song along with the brilliant and colourful video makes it feel very summery!

Disagreed so much, I thought it was god-awful.

Their single choices have been baffling, not releasing 'When It Rains' from Riot and 'Turn It Off' from Brand New Eyes...

To be fair, all four singles from Riot! are probably hookier than "When It Rains". "We Are Broken" would have been the best ballad to release but it sounds to similar to Avril's "When You're Gone" which was out around the same time. As for "Turn It Off", they released enough singles from Brand New Eyes to fit it in somewhere, but "Playing God" was obviously the preferred midtempo.

I can't see them not releasing "Ain't It Fun" next, it's been a while since I've heard so many reviews praising a particular album track.

No Newcastle either :(

Only just really got round to hearing 'Still Into You' (well this last week or so) and it's so good! More poppy than usual for them, but I don't care.
