December 8, 201212 yr Simon Cowell really likes 'Impossible' doesn't he? It's a pretty good song though. I am actually going to be watching the final, though have watched none of the series. i only know about Christopher. Dude would have been better singing the oompa loompa song.
December 8, 201212 yr Can we PLEASE have James winning now. :( It's the only song choice out of them that we like. Poor brave Shontelle if her song gets chosen two years and doesn't get to be performed.
December 8, 201212 yr James' single choice :w00t: Yes it's a cliched/obvious choice, but it's one of my favourite songs of all time, so if the original gets a significant boost, then i'm backing him to win even more!
December 8, 201212 yr I'm most excited for James'! Jahmene is going to MURDER that and it's not a song I ever want to hear again anyway, but it's so obviously pulling for him to win.

It's Jahmene's that is one of my favourite songs :nocheer: Oh well, still want James to win.
December 8, 201212 yr It's utterly ridiculous how much they seem to be pimping Jahmene so much with that choice, oh no wait of course the contestants 'chose the songs themselves' obviously...
December 8, 201212 yr Its more ridiculous if Jehmene wins we are stuck with two old tracks in the top 2 from the 60s for 2 to 3 weeks, I know the Justice Collective is for charity as well, but I'm not really keen on the track myself. So... I would prefer James Arthur to win. How boring can the Xmas chart top 2 get.
December 8, 201212 yr Whatever song they choose and whoever wins, it will no doubt help to maintain their record of abysmal releases.
December 8, 201212 yr Oh that song choice is making me want Christopher to win EVEN MORE :D Not because I like the song but just because Christopher Maloney - The Reason would have to be the single most ridiculous UK #1 of all time. Failing that Jahmene's song is of course brilliant and it would be nice to see it finally getting to #1 in one form or another even if it is the form of PURE HORROR. James' song is also okay but I can't stand his voice. (This is assuming these song choices are actually right - they come from The Sun so I'm a bit sceptical). Edited December 8, 201212 yr by Bré
December 8, 201212 yr Well this is the Australian Winner - Samantha Jade - performing an ORIGINAL song: 7CLwrXvQeWk Why can't we have her as our winner with that song!!!! Edited December 8, 201212 yr by Knightr634
December 8, 201212 yr I like James's, it's a quality song that deserves to be a big hit in the UK. Asda boy's is an amazing classic song I don't want to hear murdered like Hallelujah was with some horrible production. Maloney... well it could have been worse, that could be alright for him. At least it's not an old song.
December 8, 201212 yr There are a couple of misconceptions in this Thread. 1) Whilst 'He Ain't Heavy He's My Brother' is a 1960's Song, (1969), the Song that Jahmene will release - if he Wins - is actually a 1970's Song. 2) Someone else said, that it would be good to see Jahmene's Song at No.1, as that Song had never been No.1 before. It has - in 1987. Personally, I think that of all the old Songs that Jahmene could have recorded, it would have been good if he'd 'chosen' something that had never been No.1 before. (That goes for those who have covered The Hollies 1969 Song, too) Like far too many people who do Covers, hardly any imagination is shown.
December 8, 201212 yr Failing that Jahmene's song is of course brilliant and it would be nice to see it finally getting to #1 in one form or another even if it is the form of PURE HORROR. errr...Ferry Aid :P all the proceeds of the single were donated to Zeebrugge Disaster Fund
December 8, 201212 yr Oh yes - I forgot about the Ferry Aid version of 'Let It Be'. In that case Jahmene can bugger off (although he's probably going to win anyway).

Surely that deserves to be a #1.

Well it was written and first recorded in the 1960s, just not released until March 1970
