Why don't The Pogues ever get reduced to 59p? :(

Why don't The Pogues ever get reduced to 59p? :(

It's being sold for 50p on 7Digital not that it's having much of impact sales wise i'm sure.

If FONY ever got reduced it could hit the top 5 again!!
30 Ellie Goulding - Figure 8

Not too bad, would be nice to see it getting top20 at some point (after Christmas maybe?).

I don't think that iTunes think of the song as a Christmas song (hence why it isn't on their Christmas Essentials playlists either - who remembers those?).

But that hardly precludes it from price reductions though.

PS, don't you think your sig is a bit too long?

She is a terminally ill singer who has released a cover of Smile for Christmas. I think it's a lovely sentiment at this time of year. :yahoo:

Who did the original 'Smile'? Hopefully it stays high in the chart and doesnt fall like a brick in a few days!

Greg Lake playing on radio 1 now, nice to hear a xmassy song that aint Wizzard et al :)

If you're an Ellie Goulding fan, you might like the year-end chart of the US:

HOT 100

1. Gotye f/ Kimbra, "Somebody That I Used To Know"

2. Carly Rae Jepsen, "Call Me Maybe"

3. Fun. f/ Janelle Monae, "We Are Young"

4. Maroon 5 f/ Wiz Khalifa, "Payphone"

5. Ellie Goulding, "Lights"

6. The Wanted, "Glad You Came"

7. Kelly Clarkson, "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)"

8. Rihanna f/ Calvin Harris, "We Found Love"

9. Nicki Minaj, "Starships"

10. One Direction, "What Makes You Beautiful"

12. Adele, "Set Fire To The Rain"

30. Alex Clare, "Too Close"

42. Calvin Harris, "Feel So Close"

43. Adele, "Someone Like You"

46. Jessie J, "Domino"

55. Cher Lloyd, "Want U Back"

64. Adele, "Rumour Has It"

65. Calvin Harris f/ Ne-Yo, "Let'sGo"

69. Coldplay, "Paradise"

71. Adele, "Rolling In The Deep"

So many UK songs did well that year, and many of them like What Makes You Beautiful, Want U Back, Glad You Came and Rumour Has It seem to have been MUCH bigger in the US than they were in the UK!

Pretty impressive for the brits, they are ruling these days lol!!

It goes to show really. Some songs like Rumour Has It, Want U Back and Lights "flopped" here because they didn't get enough radio airplay, but it proves if songs do get the radio support, they can end up as massive hits. It makes you wonder what recent releases could've been massive with more radio support.
