So the SHOCKING secret of Max's no one will get is that he was already married? Guessed that about 6-8 months ago.

 

All the way through the episode I was thinking that no one had a decent enough motive to murder Derek so I'm quite glad it wasn't murder. Although I did want Carol to find David Wicks's letter and go psycho on him. I suppose she'll find it now when sorting through his stuff, but it doesn't seem enough. She's been pretty underused.

One thing i don't get now is why were those Gang members that beat up Derek after Max if the whole storyline was just to pay his other wife money?

 

Does anyone else think that Sharon's son looks like Frankie Cocozza?

Just looking back on Christmas Day's episode. Now, I'm no expert, but when someone suffers a heart attack, they don't usually clutch their arm? :P

I thought the Christmas episode this year was a little below par but I thought it was an enjoyable watch all the same. I was really hoping that Max's massive shockingly huge secret was something I hadn't already considered months ago, but alas, no shocks to be had. It was a little disappointing to see Derek die of a heart attack, but to have Kat, Joey, Jack and Max coldly watch on and let him die was a masterstroke.

I have to say the secret surprised me as its one i didnt think about, i had convinced myself he had knocked someone down or something and had left them in a wheel chair, so a wife was a nice surprise. I was disappointed that Derek was not murdered as i was sure he was going to be but his death was a surprise in that sense. The christmas episodes were far better than last year but there have also been better.

Max and Jack are the doting brothers when they want to be. :rolleyes: Has Max forgotten about all the things Derek did, not two days ago!

Roxy and Kirsty could be twin sisters! :lol:

Seems we got a double episode today as there is no Eastenders tomorrow, I think its back to normal next week.

Far more likely to be Masood and Ayesha. She's obviously a short term plot device since they haven't given her a personality, and I've noticed a couple of lingering looks at Masood.
