A new family is definitely needed, lets just hope its an interetsing family full of good actors, great characters and strong storylines.

Oh and there's also the Hartmans! Although they are pretty awful thus far. Dexter is supposed to be 20! As if

What do you mean 'as if'? I'm pretty sure that is the actor's age. I like Dexter a lot and although we've not seen much of her I like Ava too. That said an all-new family (with no ties to the Brannings) are definitely needed.

In other news, Michael is going to

get with Kat.

There was definitely lots of signs of that happening ever since a month ago, so that's not a surprise!

As if as in he doesn't look, act or sound like he's 20!

I like that. I know it's again already been done, but the two are well-suited.

What does he look, sound and act like then? since your such an expert.

Also you dont have to look, sound or act like a 20 year old to actually be one.

I can't believe that this literally is the Branning show tonight. Is anyone actually still invested in Max and Tanya anymore?

No, but I think Kirsty is a great character, and I actually really enjoyed tonight's episode!

That's the thing, I really like Kirsty. I want Max and Tanya over. The second half of the episode was much better. More Kirsty and other characters.

Well after tonight's episode...

Charlie Brooks returns to filming in February! Hopefully she's back on-screen by early April at least.

The scripts have been great this week, while the Max and Tanya relationship became predictable, back together, break up, back together etc. the scripts were good and the actors were great, i just wish they would keep Max and Tanya together and let them focus on family life and all the ups and downs it brings with it. Jake and Jo get on very together in real life and it shows on screen as they have fantastic on-screen chemistry. I know Jo is leaving for a while but they could have just had her off screen like visiting a friend type story that soaps often do or she could if off helping Rainie off screen. Ideally i think the scriptwriters should have a storyline about Oscar been sick and and let Jake and Jo work around that.
Wow really surprised to see David Witts aka Joey Branning take the best newcomer award at the national tv awards, i was sure Kirsty from Corrie would win, so far Tyrone from corrie won the best drama category in the soaps so its 1 each, can eastenders lift best soap now, lets hope so.
Amazing to see David Witts win because he is such an apalling actor. Please kill him off now (Joey that is)

Haha - so true! The award is titled "Most Popular Newcomer" though, and from the boos of teenage/young women when he announced that he had a girlfriend, you could tell who voted for that particular award. It's the third year in a row that an EastEnders actor has won, following from Jacqueline Jossa (Lauren) and Ricky Norwood (Fatboy), and both of those characters improved over time, so who knows what'll happen to Joey  I'm not that bothered about EastEnders not winning the Serial Drama award; admittedly it's not been the best over Christmas and the beginning of this year, but Adam Woodyatt deserved the Serial Drama Performance award.

While i would have loved EastEnders to have won it may be good they didnt as it shows them they need to work on improving the show, as most of us fans will openly admit its not at its best. Likewise i would have liked to have seen Adam Woodyat win his award as he often goes so unrecognised but the guy who plays Tyrone in corrie delivered some great scenes, im not a big corrie fan but have seen the Tyrone storyline and i have to say he done brilliant and again the guy who plays him is often over looked at such award ceremonies.

Now i love Dot and usually like June Brown but she let herself down when presenting the best comedy award, she was obviously hammered but by the time she actually handed over the award i was like oh please leave the stage, on a positive note she really does not look like a woman in her 80,s she has aged extremely well.

Kirsty is the best f***ing thing about EastEnders currently. I just hope she doesn't do a Glenda/Vanessa and disappear after a year. Although she probably will since Kierston is so in demand. Sob. :(

Kirsty has the potential to be a great character if given decent storylines, she has shown signs of been very harsh and brazen but has also shown a huge vulnerable side so she so far to me has signs of a multi laryed character which is always good.
