December 17, 201212 yr It will be rubbish. I can't see the lyrics being anything better than atrocious.
December 22, 201212 yr Author Who know maybe it will be rubbish maybe not but i hope that it wouldnt be bad as A New Morning.
December 22, 201212 yr A New Morning is an interesting one. Most of the best songs from that period are the ones that were left as b-sides, which is why the Deluxe Edition on that album is a must-have. Heck, "Superstar" is a song that most artists would kill for as a single.
December 22, 201212 yr Author I agree ... maybe A new morning isnt their best album but besides are really good. btw. You heard their new songs Sabotage and For The Strangers? Edited December 22, 201212 yr by sonia
January 7, 201312 yr http://suedebarriers.viinyl.com/ New track Barriers available. Starts like The Killers.
January 7, 201312 yr Barriers is a promising start. It makes me slightly less nervous about the new album.
January 7, 201312 yr Video for Barriers: 8Hhx0gIHiz8 It's a wonderful return for Suede. Obviously Brett's solo stuff has been quite influential on it.
January 8, 201312 yr Was expecting nothing from their return tbh but i actually really like 'Barriers' and certainly intrigued by what the new album will be like.
January 9, 201312 yr Nothing special - but as long as they don't come back as bad as they were circa Filmstar and She's in Fashion then there may be hope.
January 9, 201312 yr Nothing special - but as long as they don't come back as bad as they were circa Filmstar and She's in Fashion then there may be hope. Filmstar was on their best ever album, and therefore on the best album ever. Head Music is an underrated gem, albeit one that could have used a bit more selective editing.
January 9, 201312 yr I can understand someone hating Headmusic. It's hyper-Suede, ie, it has all the annoying bits that they created in the Coming Up era and add to that lots of awful synthetic stuff. Everything Will Flow and Indian Strings are good enough, though. Coming Up was good but took about 10 years to sink in with me. Edited January 9, 201312 yr by AnthonyT
January 10, 201312 yr I just hated Filmstar - it sounded so throw away and Head Music just seemed like an obligation rather than something they wanted to do. But I'm very much from the 'No Bernard, No Suede' camp.

January 16, 201312 yr I'm kind of excited about this, for some reason. I have hope it's better than A New Morning at least. The new single is their best since the Head Music era, the album cover is spectacular too! Edited January 16, 201312 yr by Silver Rocket
January 16, 201312 yr Interesting to see that the band have returned to the typography on Coming Up/Head Music on the new album cover - I guess they're trying to pretend A New Morning never happened (I believe the only track they've performed live from that album since their reunion is Obsessions).
