'Fairytale Of New York' still top 30 combined :o Looks likely to spend another week in the top 40.

Yay at 'Candy' being top 5 combined although it'll probably be #6 officially at best when factoring in The Justice Collective's physicals. 'Troublemaker' should return to the top 5 though  Not surprised at these two and 'Gangnam Style' being among the biggest benefactors of the gift card effect. Surprisingly little effect for the earlier big hits of the year, expected fun. and Gotye to be at least top 40.

Thanks Thermo, sort of gives us a rough guide how the chart is looking at the mo.
Well this is depressing. All the songs I like have gone down or not benefited from the gift card effect yet. And it now looks pretty certain that James Arthur will sell a million copies, and that PSY will probably overtake Gotye eventually. Not by the end of the year, but still... :(
So that means it'd sound great in a club? I'm not sure I'd ever hear Britney get played in a non-gay club.

'Womanizer' got played in clubs, as did 'Till The World Ends'

I was 17 when Womanizer was released (turned 18 just after and never heard it). 'Til The World Ends, Hold It Agaist Me et al I have also never heard in a club. I guess I'm going to places that only play your LMFAO's, Mr Brightside's, Sex On Fire's, David Guetta's, Calvin Harris' and general R'n'B stuff then? Not gonna lie, I would love to hear the likes of Womanizer and stuff when out clubbing, but I never do. :(

It's Will.I.Am's song though, not Britney's! She's just the featured artist on the song. :P

They won't play it, even if she features on the song. I mean, if you see some of the sorts of people that go clubbing, you'd understand. They wouldn't be found dead dancing to Britney or Kylie or Madonna.

I have heard Britney songs in clubs before, mind you. A lot of the bigger clubs have a "gay" (for use of a better terms) room, where they play stuff like Steps, S Club 7, Aqua, Loreen, Gina G etc. Often if I'm out with a group of girls I get dragged into there. :drama:

But there's many clubs which won't touch her under any circumstances. At least not until they start holding "00's nights" probably.

They won't play her in some of clubs in Birmingham that I go to (and probably you go to too :P), but they play her on student nights in big clubs definitely (though not very often).

And what clubs have "gay" rooms?

Ive already heard Scream & Shout out loads?! And that was in a Wetherspoons and Liquid (the worst, most straightest chavviest club on earth?)

They's not called gay rooms, but that's the best way to describe them, since they play music that you'd probably hear in a gay club I guess. And I only end up in there when I'm with girls. I actually like them a bit though, I have a much poppier music taste than most of my friends.

Yeah, I hear Mr. Brightside all the time too! Also When the Sun Goes Down by Arctic Monkeys is still played loads, but I hardly hear Sex on Fire now. I don't hear David Guetta much, but I hear multiple Calvin Harris songs each time and also Swedish House Mafia loads. Sean Paul and Kanye West are also played to death. It's interesting with Sean Paul, since he's released an album recently, but most clubs still just play Temperature, Get Busy, Breathe, Like Glue, etc. every night, they hardly touch his new songs. At least with Kanye they're mainly playing his new songs like Mercy and Clique (and of course NIP ).

That's in mainstream clubs though, some clubs I go to you don't hear much from the charts.

Oh fair enough

Kanye West/Sean Paul are definitely two of the most played artists  And Rihanna of course. And Flo Rida :drama:

The Justice Collective  #13

Yeah, Flo Rida is everywhere. Good Feeling, Whistle, I Cry, and of course Low I always hear. Sometimes they play Hangover at the end as some sort of sick joke as well. :drama: I've been hearing In My Mind a lot too, which sounds admittedly incredible (probably more to do with Axwell than Flo Rida though ).

Rihanna has so many songs good for clubs tbh. From her previous album I heard We Found Love, Talk That Talk, Birthday Cake and Cockiness loads. She has so many club smashes on her new album as well. I know I'll be hearing Jump and Pour It Up every night in summer 2013.

Yeah i always hear those Rihanna songs too! (I bet we go to the same club, and i was the creepy guy winking at you but getting nothing back) <_<

lol. The club I go to the most is probably Rainbow. Some people from my senior school work there.

I'm the guy that takes his shirt off whenever Hot in Herre by Nelly gets played (probably doesn't narrow things down very much).

I'd say James Arthur is looking very likely to return to #1 now, unless "Gangnam Style" can keep going (second version actually in red now). Robbie Williams still a little way away from a return to the T5 too - I reckon it'll climb back to #7/8 officially, with Justice Collective still likely to keep ahead.

Lovely climb for "Hall of Fame" on the cards - the biggest climb within the T40 next week, it should be?

The music that they play in clubs sounds brilliant! I can't wait to go to one! :D

Yeah, it's so much fun. You should go to University, then you'll find yourself going clubbing like 3-4 times a week (if you make friends with the right kinds of people).

For the first term, then you realise you have no money :D

But by then you'll know which places you like anyway. I do not miss the endless shite nights out of last year.

I've done that and I'm skint now.
