It was utter shite, and almost offensively so - if I didn't know better I'm sure the writers were having a dig.

I suppose in part they suffered for being written out during the same period as Mitzeee and

the Bradys

, but still. I really do maintain that the whole Ash/Barney/Annalise/Rob/Scott group has been the biggest missed opportunity of the past year. It wasn't as if any of them were particularly bad actors, and (I know I keep on harping on about this), Hollyoaks needs all the decent cast it get right now if THERESA MCQUEEN is the best it can come up with. The Theresa/Dodger nonsense is almost enough to make me turn off.

I know you loathe Theresa but she's a background/comic relief character. It's not as if she dominates stories, and it certainly is not "the best they can come up with"! However I wouldn't be too upset if she were to leave.

 

I thought Theresa was outstanding during the Kyle/Warren storyline, I think she's capable actress when giving the correct material.

Agreed, admittedly she can be absolutely terrible at times (in day to day stuff she's often awful) but there are times in her big dramatic storylines when she's competent.

It's honestly like my favourite characters are leaving monthly! I don't even know who my favourite character is now! They really need to bring in big names/ old characters as all the loved and established characters are leaving. I'm still devestated regarding Mitzeee ad her shit excuse for an exit!

I bloody love her, one of my favourites for sure. and with her gone, what will happen to phoebe? :(

I actually think that out of all the thousands of departures over the past year, this one is by FAR the most upsetting.

Having said that, I can easily see why Claire Cooper has decided to leave. Along with the Northern Irish army, she's one who could so very easily become a SERIOUS ACTRESS in the big wide world.

It might have something to do with the fact that

Emmett is leaving too, since they've been in a relationship for a while now.

While it's sad to see Jacqui go, I do think they were not really sure what to do with her since Rhys died and all she seems to do is try and keep the McQueen's together. I'll miss her though.

Bloody hell, Daniella Westbrook looks identical to Kerry Katona! :o

 

Oh and I see Wikipedia has Cindy's daughter Holly's date of birth as 25 December 1997 - the actress who plays her now must be about 20! This casting is almost as bad as Waterloo Road!

Holly has not got off to a particularly good start to be honest. Right now, they've created a character that has ALL of the attrributes that made Maddie such a lead balloon of a character. Poor acting, inate hatefulness and smugness, and played by somebody 25 years too old for the role. You'd think Hollyoaks would have learnt their mistake on that one.

 

Also much hilarity at the piss-poor Daniella Westbrook, who I'm sure never imagined 15 years ago that she would go on to be typecast as a rough old boot.

 

On a positive note, I'm glad that John-Paul has finally broken that bizarre Hollyoaks tradition whereby every rubbish gai who steps foot in the village seems to inexplicably fall in love with scratty old Ste.
