It's so bizarre seeing Icona Pop do well in America after first hearing it via BJSC almost a year ago! I guess Ryan you're feeling that odd sense of pride when your entry starts becoming successful again, which I'll NEVER get :(

Haha I guess so!! I hope it becomes a success in the UK though! I'm sure you'll get it at some point, and 'Geronimo' was successful around Europe I think?

Would it be safe to assume this isn't going to do a fraction as much as 'Scream & Shout' did? Once S&S took off it never looked back, but this has properly dived.

It sometimes happens that they make a recovery. For example Moves Like Jagger got #1 on iTunes on release week, free-fall (I think into the 60s), and then reclimbed back to #1 on iTunes a couple of months later once its airplay, music video, etc. kicked in.

 

But I don't think That Power will be as big as Scream & Shout, or anywhere near. The song is pretty poor imo, and I don't think it's as radio friendly. The lyrics aren't as funny either. Not to mention that genre of music as a whole seems to be struggling more and more.

Something finally happening with this! I saw it at #5 on Bubbling Under but didn't realise it was actually selling kinda. Not expecting this to be huge but I hope it can at the very least outpeak 'Everything Has Changed' :P
