After the announcement that L.A. Reid has left US X-Factor now it has been announced that Britney Spears has also left (no bad thing).

She is said to be concentrating on new material but it is known that she has faced a lot of criticism for her performance on the show.

That thread is about the 2012 US X Factor, this is regarding the third/2013 season and is rightfully in a separate thread. Leave the moderating in this forum to me and Steve plsthx.

Sorry, but the post was worded in a completely different way regarding the third season. I might have got something wrong, but there's no need to be so blunt when you're telling me.

It'd be great to see Cheryl there, but is she even on speaking terms with Simon?

Looking forward to season 3. :D

It would be funny to see Fox getting Cheryl on the third season while she is still sueing them over her pay for the last time

I don't see it happening though. But the inner stan inside me would like to see her on the show, I miss my weekly Cheryl show and it would be a good opportunity to launch her career there. I know the ratings are quite bad but she's a nobody there so it would still be a way to get known.

Her book is out in the US in April but I don't think it means anything.

Seeing Cheryl on there would be great.

TBH though, I don't buy the excuse that nobody would understand her accent. It's not as if she isn't talking English. :P

That 'excuse' was the way Fox said "We didn't like her screen test and we didn't want her on the show, but we did it until we could ditch her with the results from test audiences as a courtesy to Simon"
I was under the impression that Cheryl could be offered a return as part of the law suit settlement agreement. She may be offered but whether she will take it is another story/saga

Will be interesting to see who else they bring in. I heard good things about Demi's performance as a judge so if they can get someone else who is a good mentor and is personable then this show might just earn it's place on the Fox schedule at last! Carrie Underwood comes to mind....

Demi was so annoying.

To be fair, if Britney can't bring success to this show, they won't be able to get anyone in to match her level of success unless Gaga joins.

So, the new US panel is revealed tomorrow!

For some reasons, people online are going mental about rumours of Cheryl going back to the show. :w00t:

Never thought this would ever happen, but after reading the discussions on forums, it got me all excited again and part of me is tempted to believe it :kink:

Anyway, the rumours have Kelly Rowland, Hilary Duff, Paulina Rubio and Cheryl Cole up for a seat.

Oh well, Cheryl probably isn't doing it, but I'm excited for tomorrow's announcement nonetheless

I would love to see Hilary Duff on some kind of X Factor panel, only if it means we get new music from her quicker mind.
So who's staying and who's going?

Simon and Demi are staying, and a few papers are reporting that Kelly Rowland and Paulina Rubio are joining - and Hilary Duff as a co-host.

So Simon wants to appeal to all audiences with a Black, a White and a Latin girl on the panel. I'm still hoping for a few surprises today.

I guess co-host is better than nothing for Hilary, it also ties in with the development deal she signed with Fox. However I would prefer her to have been a judge.
