Fox have really gone on a major saving face with this, claiming they are "resting" the format as they didn't want to do it without Simon. I am sure if it was hitting American Idols ratings they would be more than happy to carry on.

'resting' in the same way that Firefly has been 'resting'

I did enjoy the three series we got (series 1 and 2 moreso thanks to Godvato), but it was an embarrassment that the highest charting single managed by any act was Fifth Harmony with the #73 SMASH Miss Movin' On :drama: Not embarrassing in that that song is awful, I love it, it's just quite hilarious they pumped so much into it and emphasised so much how it would make the winner a huge star and nothing happened at all. Tate Stevens' album just about scraped top 20 I think, but then he shouldn't have even been in the live shows in the first place let alone been the winner :drama:
