Robyn's in the process of creating her new record. Kindness and Mark E have been inspiring her. Should get something this year I should have thought.

Ha. Ne'er has a Robyn post passed me by. I swear I'm on e-mail alert at the very mention of her name.

(got all excited about the prospect of a new single then, been listening to her a lot again lately and really craving new material)

Brilliant news, Robyn NEVER disappoints and I'd imagine this could easily be a 3rd brilliant era in a row (counting Body Talk as one era obviously).
Well I'm not as into Robyn as the posters above me but I do like me a bit of her. My fav. is probably 'Love Kills'. And 'Konichiwa Bitches' is a hilariously genius song title.

OMG i can't believe u just said that she's no alyssa reid!!!11!!

Aside, I've pencilled this in for my #1 record of the year. APOLOGIES to everyone else for turning up.

This will most definitely be my favourite year of music ever if Robyn and Gaga (and La Roux) deliver.

Quick Robyn rate:

11.0 Get Myself Together

11.0 Dancing on my Own

10.0 Indestructible

09.5 With Every Heartbeat

09.0 Love Kills

09.0 Who's That Girl

09.0 Be Mine

08.5 Call Your Girlfriend

08.5 Time Machine

Edit: How could i forget Stars 4-Ever!

I could go on...

I'm with you on this one. I like her and when she's good, she's VERY good, but I'm definitely not as into her as others seem to be. My favourite is 'Handle Me' or 'Dancing On My Own'. 'Robyn' was a very good era though. She got the singles pretty spot on, imo. 'Body Talk' era was decent enough, but my favourite non-single ('Don't Fucking Tell Me What to Do') seems to get so much hate and I wasn't that much a fan of 'Call Your Girlfriend' (although listening to this again, it's better than I remembered it being, maybe it wasn't this one after all...)

My tastes are backwards, especially when it comes to Robyn. (I'm not too familiar with her 90's stuff so can't really comment, but 'Show Me Love' is pretty average.)

But anyway, I'm looking forward to this in the hope it's along the lines of WHB, DOMO, 'Dream On' etc..

I find it hard to imagine what sound she'll go for now. Body Talk perfected her sound almost to the point of self-parody, it's hard to imagine her doing anything else.

OMG Dandy*! How did you know that the poster above this post, would post that? You're like a psychic or something :P

YESSSSSS.

i rly don't know where she's going because her sound doesn't have much room for extension as it was, and body talk was like an amazing climax of with every heartbeat's side of her

would love for her to just throw the rulebook out again and deliver some batshit jams

I've always found Robyn vastly overrated, but she has come out with some brilliant material in the past. We'll see.
