(Hope the mods allow this) So please rate the following Suede singles.... Golden Gun Clicky click on the links if you need reminding! And just for fun- the Albums Suede Dog Man Star Coming Up Head Music Sci-Fi Lullabies A New Morning SCORING You may award one 11 other than that it's out of 10. Same for albums. No minus scores are allowed as Suede are clearly brilliant! You have one week to vote by PM to me and I'll do something next week- honest!! DEADLINE- 9PM ON WEDNESDAY JANUARY 23RD 2013 I know I might just get three voters but hey ho- it makes me happy! :D
January 16, 201312 yr Author Woohoo thanks to Silver Rocket who is our first voter- I'm heartened by a speedy response! :D
January 16, 201312 yr Woohoo thanks to Silver Rocket who is our first voter- I'm heartened by a speedy response! :D They hold a special place in my heart, at the age of 10 when I was all into Spice Girls I was listening to Suede until I got into music properly, it's like the soundtrack of my childhood. :P Plus I am rather excited for the new album. January 16, 201312 yr Coming Up era was life for me - I even saw them live in late 96. My top scorer isn't from that album though!
January 16, 201312 yr To The Birds was a track on The Drowners EP rather than a single in its own right. I'm quite happy to vote for it though :D
January 16, 201312 yr Ooh, I was wondering if someone would start this. I've noticed two omissions though. "Together", the first song written by Anderson/Oakes, was a double-A side with 'New Generation', whilst "Let Go" was released as a double A-side single in Sweden (along with Can't Get Enough). January 16, 201312 yr My God, Attitude reminds me of Garbage for some reason. I haven't heard it in ages.
January 16, 201312 yr I've noticed two omissions though. "Together", the first song written by Anderson/Oakes, was a double-A side with 'New Generation', Never knew that.
January 16, 201312 yr We need to include Yes as well. tenuous I know, but I still love it! In the airport home from Newcastle, this song came on on my Ipod and I belted it out loudly. People stared at me. Was totally worth it.
January 16, 201312 yr Author To The Birds was a track on The Drowners EP rather than a single in its own right. I'm quite happy to vote for it though :D Pesky Polyhex! Actually MW listed them as a double A-Side as well (at the time) :(
January 16, 201312 yr We need to include Yes as well. tenuous I know, but I still love it! I wouldn't really say that it should be included. It's better than everything Suede did after Bernard left, though.
January 16, 201312 yr Author Coming Up era was life for me - I even saw them live in late 96. My top scorer isn't from that album though! It so was! One of THE albums that takes me back to 1996 straight away! I saw them at DeMontfort Hall during that tour too!

January 16, 201312 yr It so was! One of THE albums that takes me back to 1996 straight away! I saw them at DeMontfort Hall during that tour too! Trash mainly reminds me of going to Cornwall on holiday with my mum and dad - the CD single was released that week and I got it on the Monday at Our Price in Penzance and basically played it all week on my personal CD player. I did the same with Country House the year before as I was on holiday during the Blur/Oasis week
January 16, 201312 yr Voted. I wasn't sure if I could give an 11 in the albums rate so I didn't. I also rated the full version of Stay Together - the radio version would have lost 2 points. Edited January 16, 201312 yr by AnthonyT
January 16, 201312 yr Author Ooh, I was wondering if someone would start this. I've noticed two omissions though. "Together", the first song written by Anderson/Oakes, was a double-A side with 'New Generation', whilst "Let Go" was released as a double A-side single in Sweden (along with Can't Get Enough). Ok I've looked into this- as "Let Go" wasn't a UK single (I think it was on the B-side here of "Can't Get Enough") so isn't eligible. "Together" isn't listed as double A-Side with "New Generation" on either Polyhex or MW (again at the time) :(
January 16, 201312 yr And for those who didn't know, "Golden Gun" was used as the theme tune to the Charlie Brooker TV show "You Have Been Watching." If you're wondering why a rather under-appreciated Suede track was used as the theme tune, look at who produced that show and make the connection.
