January 20, 201313 yr Uh oh omrimayo and SexiBack3825 probably set to jump off a building as I speak (if they haven't already, that is) :( omrimayo did say it is the end of the world for him (in those exact words) after all.
January 20, 201313 yr Author Why does Les Miserables enter on main album chart while the Mammia Mia soundtrack wasn't? Because it's clearly been registered with the OCC as a cast recording, while Mamma Mia! was registered as a 'Various Artists' album. It's all determined by the phrasing... Disappointed with Kylie's 29 place drop to number 81 this week. I'm surprised it's even still top 100, it struck me as a fanbase-only buy to begin with and now the Christmas gift buying market is long over. Is that a peak for Villagers? :o Yes, by a LOT - 'Becoming A Jackal' only reached #66 :P -x- Mish-mash commentary time. Wahey at Everything Everything and A$AP Rocky getting their second top 50 hits (and also first for the latter :P)! Hopefully 'Kemosabe' can get a second week top 100 like 'Cough Cough', not expecting any more than that. McFly's longevity is bizarre, 'Love Is Easy' is already their 5th longest running top 100 hit behind 'Shine A Light', 'All About You', 'Obviously' and '5 Colours In Her Hair' (in that order) despite only barely scraping the top 10 :o Peace become the 7th Sound of 2013 longlistee to make the top 100 as expected, not as expected that they're also the 7th to get a top 75 hit albeit by the skin of their teeth. Kodaline also only just scraped in (although they got to #74 and actually managed a second week top 75 after that). :cheer: at 'Backseat Freestyle' making the top 100! Quite pleased to see 'Shadow Moses' making the top 100 also, I haven't heard it and I'm sure it's just some metalcore nonsense but just for genre diversity it's good to see a band like Bring Me The Horizon making some impact outside of the albums chart. According to Wikipedia their last lead single 'It Never Ends' only just missed the top 100. New peak for 'Matilda' bringing Δ to a 75-76-83 discography so far - what's the betting it'll end up peaking at #77? :P Album coming for a new peak as well next week maybe! On the album chart, brilliant to see A$AP Rocky only dropping 1 place from the first mids! It's strange how most successful rappers on the singles chart have very limited albums success but you get the occasional rap album that does well despite the artist having no hit singles or at least none recently (Nas, Rick Ross etc.) Mumford & Sons' 'Sigh No More' in the top 40 for a 5th successive year - its yearly peaks so far have gone 11-3-2-10-38. Somehow don't think it'll quite make the top 11 again this year!

Memory Lane-The Greatest Hits also doing well. Edited January 20, 201313 yr by Dan388
January 20, 201313 yr Author A big fanbase has nothing to do with longevity. See: all of their previous releases bar possibly the 4 I mentioned.
January 20, 201313 yr McFly's greatest hits, these past two weeks or so have definitely been helped by Tom's wedding speech. So if people have seen the album on iTunes, maybe they just decided to cherry pick 'Love Is Easy'?
January 20, 201313 yr A big fanbase has nothing to do with longevity. See: all of their previous releases bar possibly the 4 I mentioned.Yeah but they had lost some fans which they have now got back plus gained some new ones along the way. Love is Easy has done very well despite being download only and the fact that it had little promotion. Things are looking good for Mcfly in 2013 I think with the 6th studio album/sell out tour and all
January 20, 201313 yr McFly's greatest hits, these past two weeks or so have definitely been helped by Tom's wedding speech. So if people have seen the album on iTunes, maybe they just decided to cherry pick 'Love Is Easy'?Looking at the I Tunes it's the single version of Love is Easy that's inside the top50 Tom's wedding speech would have helped the Album a little but then it got a boost just before xmas and into the new year too.
January 20, 201313 yr Only Revolutions climbing in anticipation of Opposites I would guess  would love to see Funeral For A Friend get a top 20 album with Conduit in the same Biffy release week as there is practically nothing out and they deserve that sort of thing. Would think they might be a band who could crossover with Biffy's sort of music, I like them anyway and I'm a huge Biffy fan already had a few top 20 albums and even a top 10 (No3) one with Tales Don't Tell Themselves
January 21, 201313 yr That must be the worst Top 5 of the century (the Top 3 for sure is)! The whole Top 10 is in fact very weak.
January 21, 201313 yr Author #3-6 and 9 are all currently in my personal chart (3, 4 and 6 all in my top 10), #1 and #10 have also been in my chart but dropped out and #2 will enter my chart next week as it's growing on me. So I only really dislike #7 and #8, starting to dislike #1 as well though. So I like this top 10 even if no one else does :P Edited January 21, 201313 yr by Bré

January 21, 201313 yr Uh oh omrimayo and SexiBack3825 probably set to jump off a building as I speak (if they haven't already, that is) :( There have been reports on the internet of an unidentified Justin Timberlake fan jumping off the Severn Bridge. I am setting up a memorial service for SexiBack3825 as we speak. :snif:
January 21, 201313 yr I wonder if Flaws by Bastille re-entered due to the anticipation of the new single Pompei out at the end of next month - or is it 59p? People maybe going and checking for the new single and finding its not out for 6 weeks lol!

January 22, 201313 yr "Flaws" will have re-entered due to hype over Bastille's new single. Same will go for Lawson's Standing in the Dark.
