The Jonathan Ross Show has done wonders for her album though, now up to 5!

I think personally Ellie has chosen well singles wise, Figure 8 was a good choice. Saying that, I still probably would have left it until 3rd and released My Blood in it's place (perhaps fourth after that and Explosions or Only You).

It was shown during Jonathan Ross, as well as the advert it already features on. I don't know if I wasn't paying attention properly, but I don't think the advert even mentioned "Figure 8". :(

Not much of an advert, it was use as a trailer for the upcoming dramas on ITV.

And I heard Scott Mills mention its the new single on the Radio 1 chart update last Weds.

CLIMB  I wanted this top 40 after the performance. :(

WOW I love this version

There actually was an advert for Halcyon as well as the trailer. ITV are loving Ellie right now (so get her on one of your shows!)

I definitely think Figure 8 was the obvious second single choice, but it's hard to admit that now given its performance. I agree with Eric, she needs to milk "Explosions" for all it's worth now while it's getting some promo. She seems to be hidden away though, when she should be getting herself everywhere (Sande?!).

"Guns And Horses" is my favourite by her and "The Writer" is my second favourite, so she did pretty well that era. (except "Starry Eyed" is one of my least favourites)

I LOVE "Atlantis", but I think the only songs that would do worse as singles are "Don't Say A Word" and "Dead In The Water". It's a stunning album from start to finish though, I really hope it starts to build some respectable sales.

'Guns And Horses' is my second favourite Ellie song but 'The Writer' is one of only 4 songs from her 2 albums that I don't particularly like (along with 'Under The Sheets', 'Little Dreams' and 'Joy') so it is annoying that her worse songs keep doing better :drama: I do LOVE 'Starry Eyed' though.

And eek, 'Don't Say A Word' and 'Dead In The Water' are my next two favourite album tracks from 'Halcyon' (excluding the iTunes bonus tracks which really all should have made the main album). Such an uncommercial Ellie taste :( Am finding 'My Blood' and 'Only You' a bit overrated really.

I THINK she might be touring the US at the moment, so that might explain why she hasn't been seen for a while.

I think the bonus tracks are much weaker than the rest of the album (and they don't really fit with the general sound/theme) but the rest is all 8/10+ worthy, some songs just aren't meant to be singles though. I'd say "Atlantis" and "Dead In The Water" are two of the most pretty and atmospheric songs on the album, but those sort of songs never chart well.

I think they should push "Explosions" and after that Calvin Harris should release "I Need Your Love", then they can finish the era with "Only You" (which would be accompanied by some super Skrillex type remix) over the summer.

Urgh, I hate boring weeks like this! The next song that should be guaranteed number one should be Avicii - I Could Be The One. The release week is dead until the 18th February
I saw the video to The Risk's song on Friday morning. I couldn't help but cringe at the vocals on the first chorus and I swiftly changed the channel. Gobsmacked it's as high as it is. :manson:

Ha! Missiles falling already makes me laugh.

I haven't heard the song yet, does anyone have a link?

Pretty awful, I'm really stumped why the track has taken off (no pun intended)
