January 30, 201312 yr I did think this was a certain #1 but I could see 'Thrift Shop' becoming ridiculously dominant and leaving it at #2. Would be very shocked if it's not top 2 so I guessed top 3, it might be #1 yet. As for 'want', I said flop. It's SO dull. Even worse than 'The Power Of Love'.
January 30, 201312 yr I doubt "Pease Don't Say You Love Me" is going to chart at all. :P Serious note, want it to be a #1 as I really like it (a lot more than "The Power Of Love") but likely just a top 3.
January 30, 201312 yr Well, I think it's simply a lovely track and that's no bad thing. However, I've not seen the video once on any of the music channels (the video has been on YouTube since September 2012) so that's probably a tell tale sign that this sadly won't do anything. May go top 20 on its release week but I'm actually doubtful. Want = #1 (especially if 'The Power Of Love' could get there) Think = Top 20 (anything higher is a bonus)
January 30, 201312 yr I think that it will peak from #21-#25. I really don't see how this could be Top 3 with the amount of promotion it has had?
January 30, 201312 yr I doubt "Pease Don't Say You Love Me" is going to chart at all. :P  I've now edited the topic title. :D
January 30, 201312 yr I've seen the video several times on music channels and I very very rarely watch them! I think it'll go top three but I'd love it to be a #1.
January 30, 201312 yr It's the highest pre-order for its week from what I can see, so I think top 3. I think it's most likely to stall at #2 behind Thrift Shop which (as Bre said) will probably dominate #1 for the next few weeks.
January 30, 201312 yr It will probably peak at #5 or something, I'd like to go top 10 because it's good.
January 31, 201312 yr Author Well, I think it's simply a lovely track and that's no bad thing. I've seen it there several times, but it's not the sort of song that would gain much from a video anyway - airplay on R2 or Heart would be its best bet. I've now edited the topic title. :D It took me a while to spot the typo!

I think it's most likely to stall at #2 behind Thrift Shop which (as Bre said) will probably dominate #1 for the next few weeks. As always, I am completely unable to tell the difference in potential between a rap song that becomes a big hit, and one that flops. That's an observation, not a criticism so don't start attacking me merely for bringing the subject up.
January 31, 201312 yr With Thrift Shop, and now Avicii/Nicky Romero out on the same week, i can see it getting as high as #3 (i can see it sticking around for a while too) But the iTunes pre-order has the release date as the 12TH of Feb, does that mean it's out on a Tuesday? If that happens, i can see a low Top 10 debut

January 31, 201312 yr Avicii? Yet another forthcoming release that seems to have slipped under my radar... The pre-order is doing really well, just outside the top 50 last time i checked. I can see it easily entering at #2 when it's out
February 1, 201312 yr I'm very optimistic about it. So, I predict another UK number 1 for this girl. ^_^ I would be pleased because I want to see it at number 1.
February 1, 201312 yr Author The pre-order is doing really well, just outside the top 50 last time i checked. I can see it easily entering at #2 when it's out Has anyone attemped to systematically compare pre-order positions against actual chart debut positions?
February 1, 201312 yr Has anyone attemped to systematically compare pre-order positions against actual chart debut positions? Just from observation, very few songs that reach the top 100 and stick around for at least a week or so end up missing the top 10. Bastille's 'Flaws' is a recent example of one that did but it's very much the exception not the rule. Usually songs that reach the top 50 and stick around there are at least #1 contenders if not clear #1s (but again that's not totally infallible, I think Rumer's 'Slow' got to #1 as a pre-order but only charted at #16 officially).
