I think it all depends on the promotion on where What About Us debuts! A slot on Comic Relief and a talk show (Alan Carr/Ant&Dec) could boost their chances of grabbing a top 3 peak!

I think there's alot of expectations for this to go to #1. I just feel that even if this goes to #4 or #3 or something that it'll be an underperformance, especially as it's essentially been a six month long wait and there's so many positive factors supporting it.

 

This needs to go to #1. Their reputation and credibility will benefit ALOT if they finally have a #1 single and it'll probably help things in America as well.

I agree, I think the Sats actually have one of the best fan bases around. Even though they have not had a number one their songs are still very popular. I hope it does well

I think it's better that we hope for top 3, I think everyone will be disappointed now if this failed to reach number one, but we need to be realistic. I'm not so sure if What About Us will debut with over 60,000+ sales.

I won't be disappointed if this isn't number 1, I feel like this campaign has been going on for about 9months now. I am thinking it will be number 1 on wednesdays mid-weeks but be 2 or 3 come the sunday. I am hopping it will have a long chart run, but I think it might have really good first week sales, but then go bye bye.

I'd be surprised if they don't match the 69-70k opening sales of All Fired Up tbh. I know it's a different time of year etc, but comparing both releases, this seems to be in a better position for this point before release. Only time will tell how far up the chart that 70k can get them, it's looking like a quiet release week still and could possibly be enough for #2 if not #1!

Their fanbase is probably one of the least reliable out there. We don't know any promo slots yet. The lack of competition should get them a great peak, not any better sales.

I wouldn't say their fanbase wasn't reliable. Notorious went to #8 on fanbase buys only and they've only ever one pre-album single miss the top ten.

 

Keep in mind the EP has been doing well on pre-orders and there's a fake version of the song on iTunes.

I don't understand why their not promoting What About Us yet (Radio tour etc)

 

The girls need to change their ways, they will need to promote What About Us a week after the release instead of the usual freefall etc. I hope they actually bother to promote hard in Australia, Germany and decide to go back hard in the US.
