I wish they'd do signings for WAU a la the 30 Days Glasgow one. Preferably London... I wanna meet them!

ETA: Eeek, one week to go til we're checking iTunes every few minutes and posting the updates here constantly. Not sure if I'm looking forward to it or not haha.

They are probably going to see where it charts best

and I hope they do another one in Glasgow, they seem to chart well in Scotland, 30 days was only 12 copies of a number 1 here

I can't believe I first heard this over six months ago. I watched the VMA's after-party performance when I'd just started college, and I'm now studying for my mock exams and it's not even been released yet.

I know I like making comparisons, but Nicole Scherzinger's performance this week is a good sign. They've had much better airplay on radio and TV so they'll be in a better position. The only difference is that she'll have promoted on more TV shows and the fact she had a single pre-order rather than EP has helped her debut very high.

Hopefully they add another EP or single version with the solo edit and extended mix on release day. It would definitely help them out because fans would buy both the Sean Paul and solo versions to get higher positions and both versions are also being played on TV/radio. Failing that, they could change the EP Extended Mix from Pre-order only to available to buy; I know that would deceive the fans and all that, but it would really help them out!

I think it could go to #1 if they get a good slot. Alan Carr is ok because I know his show is popular, and if they have an interview people will see how nice they are and maybe buy? Like I said earlier, the fact Sean Paul is promoting with them might help get a spot on lets say Comic Relief? Because he is a 'Global Superstar' Also I wonder how much they have made in pre-orders, I think this EP has stuck in the charts the longest for them and its not ever out yet!
I reckon it's go in at #3 and fall to #7 the following week. :D

The EP could actually hinder the release. Like 'Please Don't Say You Love Me' by Gabrielle Aplin, it will go straight in at #1 on the albums because it's been hanging around for so long. But then, because it's priced at £1.99 as well, it will prohibit the single version climbing up because it makes more financial sense to purchase the EP for an extra £1 to get a further 3 tracks. The Pre-order track will also mean many people will have already downloaded the EP by the time it gets released.

It would make sense for them to 'do a Nicole Scherzinger' and release a single-only download of a solo version/extended solo mix in addition to an EP, or even just of the Sean Paul version for fans to multibuy or the general public to have an alternative.

Bridget Mendler's 'Ready Or Not' charted at number 6. That is really good for a first single that has had even less airplay from the sats. So I feel the girls can do MUCH better!!! :D
What are we all honestly thinking for this?

I'm gonna say top 5... #4.

Anything in the top 5 really. It could go #1, #2, #3, #4 or #5. It depends on the airplay (for now it's #49, we'll see if they are going to enter the top 25 or not) and the promotion (for now, they only have Alan Carr).

I don't think that this will happen. It won't fall down so slowly, it'll probably fall down to #11 or #12 in its second week. I have a feeling that it's going to be pretty front-loaded.

The unofficial UK Airplay Chart site has it at #23 this week. Normally it's slightly higher on the official airplay chart, so they could be challenging for a top 20 placing this week! Next week, hopefully it can attempt to keep the climbing momentum and get close top 10!

I'm saying #1. I'll be extremely dissapointed if this misses the top three.

If they can't get to #1 with this they'll never have one.

I feel like this has been said for quite a few of their previous singles now.

Yes exactly! It was said after Missing You, Higher (when it barely scratched the top 10!), then All Fired Up.

And some people thought 30 Days could go #1 too because of that quiet week and the promo, so yeah. Let's just not get our hopes too high, shall we.

I think it could go to #1 well fingers crossed anyway
I don't know about the chart position, but I reckon it will probably hit #1 on iTunes the day of release, considering how well the pre-orders are going.

The pre-orders are on the album charts tho. I mean, it will count as a single sale on the official charts at the end of the week yes, but the EP will chart in the albums charts of iTunes.

I still hope they hit the #1 on iTunes with the song itself tho. ^_^

There's never been as much pressure as this, though. They sacrificed most of 2012 so they could work on stuff for America and now that things in the US are flopping, they need this to at least be a proper hit in the UK otherwise the entire campaign has been a huge waste of money. The fans have essentially had to wait from September until March to buy the song and the music video has been out for two months now. They've got Sean Paul on board, there's zero competition, sales aren't particularly strong, they have good TV rotation, they're climbing on airplay and they have been around long enough that they shouldn't have to rely on shitty shows like Daybreak and This Morning for promo. They've had alot of attention in the UK press because of their US trip and they've had good ratings (so far) on the E! UK show so there's really no reason for this to have a 6 week top 40 chart run again. Could you imagine how utterly pointless and non-eventful it'll be if this is out of the charts next month? I know the girls and their label are probably insisting they're past caring about a #1 but as I've said many times before, they kinda need to get one soon. I just feel that in the industry, the girls aren't seen as a threat at all because of their past chart performances and if they're going back to the US, it'll be so much easier to promote a single that was "#1 IN THE UK!" rather than a "it done well in the UK".
