Didn't like how Aled kept saying "download now - they need a number one!"

 

Performance was good, although the routine isn't as good as the original one, but I guess thats to accom Roch so fair enough. Vocals were a mix of live and pre-recorded which ended up sounding a lot better.

 

 

Anyone got any clue of sales so far or midweeks?

 

That sales data website thing says this for the last 24 hours

 

1 The Saturdays What About Us (feat. Sean Paul) 17668

2 Justin Timberlake Mirrors 8834

 

That is based on a statistical model though, and wouldn't include EP sales or CD sales

 

IIRC 30 Days sold 13,000 on Sunday/Monday and they were #1 on EP all day Sunday with that too.

That sounds a bit low :blink: Especially when sales decline throughout the week.

 

I think we should just stick to Kworb for the numbers and ignore that site until we get anything official, it sounds pretty inaccurate to be honest?

Really? With the EP that's probably about 20k sales for one day. Over the week that would probably work out at about 80k+.

What About Us @ Daybreak featuring some strange Rochelle, Una and Vanessa echo and Mollie and Frankie with their microphones muted.

It's really grating when people say Mollie and Frankie's microphones are muted when they are not. You could hear the reverb on their parts which means they were all singing.

You don't hear it when they are miming (chorus, nananana)

 

It wasn't bad, but really, they need to ditch the reverb, the backing track (they only need it for the nanananas, and to a certain extend, the "oh why are we awaiting") and start sounding as amazing as they used too when they were singing that track 7 months ago.

About 30k ahead of number 2! That's absolutely HUGE. They're definitely having their biggest opening sales week!

Could they maybe have the best first week opening sales of the year?

 

edit - okay just checked James Arthur sold 183K this week and One Direction 112K. :lol: Maybe third best then!

Specially considering that Justin must've sold 10k/20k...then total sales must be around 50k in TWO days!! Absolutely crazy for them.

 

Leaving sales aside (we don't even know if they are real) I'm very excited thinking what this could mean for them. Suddenly the doors of the big promo slots will be open and they will get much better endorsements...not forgetting of the better promotion they will be able to give the album when it drops! :dance:

 

I still think the 100k is too far away.

 

Can someone say how much Little Mix sold in the first midweek with Wings?

 

I still think 85-95k will be how much they will sell at the end of the week which is still amazing.

Obviously we don't know if they sold 40k or 50k, but the 30k gap is real. The source is apparently very good.

I think it's fair to say that Justin could have sold between 10-20k in the first two days. Then add 30k, and you got 40k to 50k.
