Just incredible sales for The Saturdays, so so happy for them!! :cheer:

My last minute prediction before it was released was a #3 with an outside - but still one of their best ever - chance of a #1. To become the fastest selling single of the year is just incredible!!

WELL DONE SATS!!!

Hmm. Oh well, one week at #1 is already amazing.

I dont care if its not #1 next week as long as it stays in top 5 :)

For once, they shouldn't plummet second/third week thanks to rising airplay from the #1 effect. Mostly because it didn't have great previous airplay because they didn't expect it to go #1!

It has a good chance of two weeks #1; it depends on how much the other versions will sell when added tomorrow!

Despite P!nk gaining, The Saturdays' Ep is also still selling. Should be close, but hopefully The Saturdays manage 60,000+ and a second week at number 1 before Need U 100% goes to number one.
I would love them to book some kind of promo slot on This Morning or whatever, haha. Although the most important thing is the airplay.
Yeah it annoys me that they never promote the single after the release date!

X-Factor also Retweeted a JLS Tweet congratulating the girls on the #1. Weird, lol.

I was a bit gutted the girls didn't mention going back to the US in their interview earlier. It still feels like the campaign hasn't even started yet because of the delay in sending it to radio. While it's nice they're going to Germany and Australia, America is obviously the "big one" and I really hope they give it a proper go either with What About Us or with the next single. It's such a shame they didn't handle things properly back in January when it was SO close to being in the top 100. It's great having success in the UK and charting in other countries, but the US is far more exciting and interesting to watch and it's a bit gutting that they've went from Jay Leno and Chelsea Lately to Daybreak and Loose Women again.

Very pleased for them with this. They have a lot of singles that are more deserving, but it's not that bad a track on the whole. I'm amazed at those sales though! I thought they'd done a pretty good job of releasing it on a week where they could sneak in there, but to beat the sales for Little Mix and One Direction's singles is outstanding. Especially considering how miserable the sales for some of the last few singles have been.

I'm intrigued to see where they'll go from here. Hopefully 'What About Us' will stick around for quite a while, and from what we've heard of the other tracks, this next album could be shaping up to be pretty good. I can easily see them finally stepping up and becoming a really big player in the charts, but equally I can see them calling it quits now that they finally have a #1 single.

Would have been nice if they put the solo version at around 79p or something! Oh well, it's gong to be a tight battle between Sats and P!nk this week. Hopefully The Sats win the battle though, two weeks for them would be fantastic, no doubt it will to a 01-01-04 or something, but it it managed 5-6 weeks top 10 I would be delighted!

I would love it to manage 5-6 weeks in the top 10, even if it's #10 two or three weeks in a row, haha. It would just be great.

P!nk has quite a lot of airplay, to be honest. Although, since The Saturdays are the official number one, I could see them climbing even faster than they were last week. UKairplaychart.com is going to be an interresting watch.

They should get a new TV airplay peak next week, I wonder if they could go top 3 on TV airplay, something they've never done before. Hopefully they manage to go top 5 on radio and TV next week, that would be quite a nice achievement.
I could see them being like #9 on the radio airplay chart tomorrow (that's when we get the charts, right?) Hopefully, next week it will be #5, or even anything in the top 5, although I'm not wishing for more than that.

Camille the writer of What About Us is easily one of the nicest people on twitter, always replies to everyone. Hopefully The Saturdays will work with her again in the future, not to bad for her first song written being released going to number one!

GoodMorningAmerica have been tweeting regarding WhatAboutUs going to number one, so I'm hoping airplay increases elsewhere now! Can't wait until the trainwreck of What About Us without Rochelle though! Is that wrong?
