Does Pompeii actually have a chance of #1 next week or is that just wishful thinking by some members here? I do think it is a certainty for the top 10, possibly top 5. ;)

It has absolutely ZERO chance of going to #1 (but it really deserves it  ). Top 10 would be an incredible result though!

It will probably go Top 10, if Flaws almost reached the Top 20 then that's a brilliant sign. :D

They seem to have gained alot of exposure since then, and the pre-order of Pompeii is #30 now! I still have doubts over it going top 10, but it's great to see them managing a breakthrough

Speaking of pre-orders, Duke Dumont/A*M*E - Need U (100%) is up to #51 on the iTunes album chart, looks like a future hit? (the fact it's already getting radio support certainly helps)

How many hours of sales is the iTunes Album Chart based upon?

Surely it will be 48 hours like the singles one?

Indeed it's been hammered by Kiss at the moment, and I believe it's also Grimmy's record of the week too, so R1 playlisting is looking likely. Quite a funky dance tune actually.

Kylie Minogue's new single Whistle is at number 144

'Pompeii' only needs to sell about 30k and it's most likely guaranteed to go top 10. I think Bastille have a strong chance of making the top 10 next week. May even do a Gabrielle Aplin and start off high in the early midweeks but then slip down as the week progresses and finish between 6-10.

In that case it will probably go Top 10 and do a Ho Hey and hang around for a bit in the Top 10-20 range.

It won't do a Ho Hey. It will definitely be front-loaded and will fall down the chart quite quickly initially but it might stabilise. We'll see. :D

I agree, there's no way it will hang around as long as or come close to the sales of Ho Hey. I'm still baffled by its success!

It's one of those songs that was just WAITING to be a hit, but it never got any radio support. The advert(s) thankfully gave it all the exposure it needed and more :D

I'm baffled by Ho Hey's success too (not in a bad way, just it's surprising). I don't think Ho Hey was played much by either Capital or Radio 1, but it was used in an advert on TV which probably helped.

Yeah same, it didn't mean in a bad way. It was random how it can't have been airplay because it's only just debuted in the top 50 airplay chart! :o But yeah, an advert would explain it!

Opinion on here seems to be quite divided on how well Bastille will do. I would have said Top 20 but it's a hard one to call at this stage. Would absolutely love it to go Top 10 but I don't think I'd bet on it just yet...

It's only this week been added to the Heart playlist, like 3 months after it's chart entry  We'll see, I'm hoping Bastille can be a hit anyway.

In other news:

39. The 1975 - Chocolate

37. Imagine Dragons - Radioactive

36. Stereophonics - Indian Summer - hope this can get a midweek Top 40 position tomorrow

27. Zedd Feat. Foxes - Clarity

25. Foals - My Number - happy to see this sticking around, even though it's dropped abit today

17. Fallout Boy - My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up) - surprised to see this still in the Top 20, thought it would be long gone by now
